Nah tbh it gives that weapon a nice niche that every other weapon doesn’t have. It’s damage to the pred is piss poor however it makes up in its other uses such as the objective based damage, damage to AI, great ammo capacity and reload (when not overcharged), shots go through tree branches. It’s the perfect weapon for a scout dualist at the moment.
They have to make the missions better overall to prevent people from just bum rushing them in two minutes with a full squad of field medics.
What damage to objectives? The only relevant one is the power ones I said above. I just did the chopper thing. Me and a guy shoot it, it was down from 1 SMG mag and 1 AR mag (don’t know what the the other guy used). So it takes a few seconds. What else? Those red small containers that you need to destroy to get that guy to open the door? I use the knife and they go down really quick. The only really good thing about the weapon is that it goes trough branches and from what I’ve heard its not effected by pred armor.
Both plasma weapons have a big downside (if you ask me), its very easy for the pred to find your location when you use them. The new weapon also seem to have somewhat low damage on the pred.
Oh and they should not balance missions around the most broken specs out there, that would just promote the use of them and people who don’t know them are at the disadvantage, they should look about balancing things better. I run randoms and I think I average around 7-8 minutes per game.
The generators that you’re talking about, the helicopter, the toxic barrels, any data terminal that has multiple hard drives (one shot will destroy them all due to the splash damage), alarms, AI, literally anything that’s not the pred that Zeus tells you to destroy. I’m not talking about the pitbull I’m strictly talking about the plasma rifle. Regardless of whether or not it goes through pred armor it does not change the fact that it is by far one of If not the weakest gun in the game with its sole purpose being to apply pressure on the pred when using the trees and to destroy objectives/AI.
Dude, anything but the generators is not worth it since they go down really quick.
Can’t say I am impressed with anything but doing damage to the pred, AI are a pain sometimes but not enough to justify its use. Other sniper rifles seem to do a far better job at applying pressure on the pred with the added perk of not giving away your location. I’ve seen people landing even 2 bullets in a predator leap with sniper rifles, don’t see them doing it with the plasma weapon and they are not going to do just as much damage.
This guy seem to be like the mercenary, intended for console people that can’t aim that well.

Are you talking about the generators on overgrowth where you blow up the construction site?
Cause if so, shoot them till they catch fire and stop they will take fire damage throughout the mission and will be all destroyed by the time you get to that part.
Yiu dont even hve to waste that much ammunition on them at all. Shoot them till they catch fire and continue the mission the fire damage will continue and they will blow up on there own.

Yeah I know the optimal strates for speedrunning missions. In my group of friends that play PHG they call me “Map Master”, mainly because they don’t pay attention to Zeus or the objective screen
Lmao I don’t think we’ve ever lost to a pc pred(durning golden days🤣) and we go pretty slow for the mission 🤔
Most of the time the preds done in under 5-9 mins

Chased a Samurai in second wind to his healing spot, he never leaped away.
Then the next match I get him as the Predator again and he B-lines it for me and kills me
I feel that’s cause all the OG’s have left the game. So when we do come back now and then it’s a bunch of noobies who are used to playing other noobies and have no clue what’s really goin on

I play a lot of random matches. The amount of potatoes playing pred does not equal the amount of potatoes playing FT.
It literally takes one good player to finish another that has 4 times your health and more than twice your damage output.
