I’ve seen this far too often, and if you don’t mind me asking, please don’t take offense on this, was PHG your first online only PvP experience? I think the main reason why a lot of people jump to the assumption that others must be cheating is because PHG was their first online only PvP experience.

Maybe so, but cheating from my understanding is more so than just a macro. If you’ve ever played anything at all in the realm of cheating, things like TRAINERS existed. possibly still do. That was my assumption that if they made a TRAINER for PHG it would be evident. “Cheating” is being played off as what others find as “INCOMPITENT TEAMS” or teams that look the other way rather than actually running the show.
There are no real cheaters here, only children proclaiming that there are such things.
Only the technically savvy understand that the blind sighted serve as the true principles in the OVER POWERING sector.
I did develope a trainer for this game, but it had limited functionality and broke after each update. Now is beyond my scope of skills to deal with bypasing anti-cheat.
That being said, with AI now you can automate a lot of game functions, including aiming, interaction and movement.
I’ve pondered the idea of automating gameplay in order to create essentially, a single player mode, where you could play as the predator against FT bots that actually play like real players and not the shit we have right now

A technical breakthrough like that here get muddied when dudes are literally still so petty on the smallest exploit
I would’ve loved to mess around with automated players but I wanted to do one based off of coordination and perfect execution of positioning and game nuances to have the best theoretical fireteam available based off of competitive gameplay as a reference

you would need 4 machines (and therefore 4 licenses) to each play as an automated player using AI to determine how to play the game effectively. Is a very ambitious project that would require a lot of work and data collection from the best players in the game in order to achieve a somewhat effective result. As of the current state of AI, it is unlikely it will be able to mimmic the nuances of high level playing, but given the shit ton of crappy players, it will suffice for most.
I’ve already been testing an AI aim assist, which sadly has left much to be desired. Probably has boosted my gameplay by about 10%, but nothing significant. Headshots do seem easier, but is only effective with continous fire and against visible slow moving targets, like NPC’s. Against a mostly invisible enemy leaping around the screen, yeah… not very effective.

Last time I played anything PVP before PHG was somewhere between OG Unreal Tournament (1999) and the multiplayer PVP end of Return To Castle Wolfenstein - both on PC. I never did Counterstrike which was notorious for hacks. Took a long break from gaming since. Gaming culture had a better sense of community back then.

I was never into online PvP until COD and Battlefield came out, and even then, I wasn’t too hardcore. Probably AvP2 was the online multiplayer that I played the most and that game, hacks or not, was just so fast paced that even if someone was using aimbots it didn’t matter much. I never saw anyone on this game that stroke me as using an aimbot. @Samhain13 has insane tracking, but the movement is not what you would normally see with an aimbot. He also, just like everyone else, wasn’t that good when he started. Like he and many others have explained, in this game positioning and game awareness play a more vital role than aiming alone. Shit IRL I can put 15 rounds in a 1 inch circle at 10 yards on a piece of paper using iron sights, but the moment I take a shotgun and shoot some clay, I miss 6 out of 10 shots.

That might unironically be the only match you ever won against me because I probably wasn’t expecting to get chased on one occasion after second wind. We both know you lost all of the following matches & died every other time you tried to chase me. Your average damage against me is still in the 200-600 range😂
Go find the results of all the other matches. You’re lucky I don’t record every match I play.
Yeah, like I already said, thats why I saved you for last & let you get reinforcements in that public match and then you got less than 200 damage in the next 3 matches & DC’d when I didn’t give you free opportunities to damage me while I killed your teammates. You should go find the match where you got killed by Saphira & DC’d within the first 30 seconds too.

Believe me, there would be a lot more of these if I recorded every match I played.
