The post is not about winning or losing. It’s about cheating. He outed a cheater. What’s so hard to understand about that? Even @FromTheHood can’t admit to using macros straight, but had to change subject about how much damage he did, SW and net gun and what would happen if he had his real squad together. We talk about cheating most everyday here, about how it’s ruining the game, and still players out there go and do it.
Nothing wrong about how @Noktrum did the post. It wasn’t toxic; he was serious about this issue. Looking at the responses, all is see is how its taken as a meme or changed to a different conversation. Thats what’s pathetic.

I think it actually makes it better. Exploits and cheats are only addressed and fixed when they are being abused.

I hope so, but it can also turn players away from the game at the present. And considering how fast illfonic attemps yo fix these issues, it’s not as promising.

well they did address the whole netgun macro. They stated it. We tested it. But people still complain about because, lulz
people will bitch about anything they seem “unfair”… but is always the same… only complains are for FT exploits. For the longest time beartraps for pred were broken, nobody said shit. every predator out there exploited them, using them at the reinforcement and exfil, and using them as bullet shields by throwing them at walls. They got nerfed because they were being exploited. But damn you if anybody said "cheater’ to anyone who was using them like that. No, the game “allowed it” so it must have been intended… so fuck me the grimtech can shoot 15 bullets per second… so go fuck yourself if that’s cheating. The game allows it, so is intended… shrugs

I really don’t want to make this a PRED exploits vs ft exploits argument because that’s the best way be further from compromise than when started.
Obviously if net can be broken almost instantly than whatever illfonic did is not working.
The trap exploit is on game so while it sucks and should be corrected, the player has no outside input as to how it functions.
Breaking nets almost instantly or using glimtech to fire it’s payload instantaneously requires that the player use macros key binds or macros mouse, so basically an indented outside input. That’s the difference.
You can argue cheating or no cheating, but i think there is an unfair advantage. What @FromTheHood did could also be detrimental to the game from the point if view that those potatoes instead of leaving to play as team may also opt for this type of an advantage so it never stops.
If you play with potatoes, just accept that a good PRED will likely have your number and try to play as a team instead if setting a bad example.
You can play how you want, and even though it’s illdonics fault that exploits exist and that the game is proven, it’s still your choice to play a certain way.
