They do. Have you played FT? Hop on and try to outplay the pred solo with just a knife. Only works if they just keep swinging with no stamina like brainlets.

I think this is/was more of a character issue.

How many parries can a human take from a Predator that far outweighs him/her? There is more involved in sword/knife play then just parrying.

I weigh 180 lbs, I spared a guy that was 250. my arms felt like jelly after.

Could imagine how tired I would get against a Predator. The person would break before the Knife

Honestly after the last patch I would have to say no. I think parry is dumb AF but it’s not going anywhere. And with the most recent ammo nerf I say keep it.

I like the parry, I don’t think it’s a OP as is implied. Seeing as the net gun exists to counter it, I don’t think it should be changed.

I play FT majority of the time probably why I have all but the minigun and nade launcher at lvl10. During that time pred took 8min to find a lobby so I wasn’t gonna waist my time. Today I just wanted to relax and focus on pred. I’ve had plenty of games where I wipe, where they exil and the time I get wrecked by a good team. Anyway I’m done with this thread it’s gotten out of hand and people are taking other things in account or saying do something else. A simple no or basic reasoning was required but people randomly assume that ur only complaining because ur garbage or trash. Stuff like that. So what ever.

Ik know this, but I’m saying in this situation 1v1 why are my options be that i almost die, or have to run away… or need to use a net gun/trap… or stick to far range attacks for 1 guy all by him self 100 or so meters away from his team.

Maybe parrying should be a perk with a cost of 5

That’s plenty of options you answered your own thread.

And you can sprint around them since they can’t parry from the sides or just point blank slam them.
Shouldn’t be rewarded for charging into them when they clearly see you and you start randomly swinging around. Hell even if you space the melee out until after they swing for a parry the fight is over.

Explain what’s happening when you’re struggling 1v1.

Ok. My issue that I’m talking about isn’t with what I’m doing.(in a way yea it is) but what im discussing now is this…
Why should a FT player by “him self” be able to parry and be able to stab and still have time to parry again…before the pred is able to swing/run.

That’s all I’m saying the pred is supposed to be faster/stronger… right?. so why is he acting like he got knocked in the head by a war club from being parried by a knife.

Because it’s a game mechanic in a video game meant to punish players that run in and just start swinging while the person is looking right at them.
If you’re geniunely losing a 1v1 knife fight as a predator though that guy was some kind of parry god with a stamina build because it’s been hard to pull off since the parry patch.

So I still killed the guy but nearly died. And it made me think of how op the knife really is when u have heavy hitter and Ybane on to do extra damage. With the knife having a slash attack and a stab I feel like the stab should have some risk to it. Considering ur character flips the knife around before stabbing…know what I mean?
