I’ve given my thoughts on the fire team, for the predator he recieved so much love and balance that I was actually excited to play him. Most of the complaints of predator is people not understanding hot to play the predator, they want 1 shot kills and 1 shot this and one shot that. The plasma caster is much better than it was for the game as a whole. Going from 1 shot kill to 2 is fine, and will allow fire teams to readily watch themselves and not just sit there getting hit, plus itll have predators be a bit more choosing of their targets and whom to wound and force to heal, who to wear down instead of just spamming fully charged PC. The combistick recieved another nerf, I dont know how good it is now, most predators I see are using their wrist blades now. The net gun. My my…it is so nice and good to use now. The bow buff, this buff helped a good amount, but I still feel like the bow could use just a smidge more love to make it truely excellent. Adding the ability to leap in second wind is absolutely gsme changing. If a predator gets caught in second wind now, they have no one to blame but themselves (and the rare bug that might get them stuck or something).
So 24 hours since patch hit, feedback?
Go practise my ass, if you dont see the problem with this game and the predator gameplay in general your not worth the explanation its been fucking obvious since very early that this game was going fucking nowhere im just pissed i gave them a chance and bought this garbage.

ok. i respect your opinion man. i just had a moment. sorry. i recognize the game has balance issues, bugs etc, i just disagree with the assessment that zerk is the only way to play as ive never played him so it is clearly not the case.i feel you though. It just barely scratches that pred itch for me. if it didn’t and i was really hoping it would id be super disappointed too. i mean i already am to a degree.
as a pred main its no diff to me. they still die the same way
I’d still rather play FT any day of the week over pred if I want to survive. Sure some preds can overcome the clunky movement and lack of information but I’ve never played anything as wonky and unwieldy in my life. This is probably my last day trying this game.
No i quit yesterday after testing this garbage patch.
I knew fireteam players would dropout if they lost anything and the second the ranged predators got fucked over the ones that didnt quit all out like i did, switched to bumrush tactics thats all that works and fireteam is not what people got the game for.
No real talked about issues wer fixed and people bounced thats why wait times doubled ,prolly half the player there wer 3 days ago.
And its gonna get worse untill the only way to continue playing is to introduce bots (pretty sure thats exactly what hapoened in f13…no?)
This company has learned nothing from that expirience.
Sony please find another developer to take over this project.

Im giving them one more patch then i know we arent being heard im not gonna waste my time or breath trying to support a company that puts out patches like that and demo quality games as complete
ya i dont know what its like to develop or if they have a vision or if they want to appease us. I for one would make an official survey with the topics on forum and go from there along with the win loss metrics, realizing the forum doesnt account for the whole player base. some of the changes like the blinding mechanics and stuff were bizarre solutions to issues and deviate abit from what feels like an authentic predator play style.

i thought i knew more or less what needed to be balanced before this patch. now with everything theyve changed im not going to bother trying to wrap my head around it they just introduced more variables.
I really think the devs should make a comment that proves they are listening and not just playing lipservice dmg control?

I myself was a hardcore Ranged build predator guy with PC being my main weapon for take downs and then baiting other FT members to help their fallen mates - then just to flank them and shoot again with the fully charged PC / Tethered lense perk. Or killing FT with two charged shots (one for downing, second charged for a kill). BUT GUESS WHAT - IT CHANGED. Did I started crying like B*TCH? No - instead I adapted and learned the really nicely buffed Bow.
Idk wtf is wrong with this community but some people need to chill tf out here. I constantly see people whining how bad the bow is but the truth is most of yAll are just lazy peeps who rush in and die / lose their mask and then blame the devs/game. You need to use the right PERKS and right MOMENTS.
IMO Best loadout for Bow playstyle:
Class: Hunter
Perks:
Energy reserve + Light Bender = Infinite Claok. This is BIG. With the bow you want to stay invisible as long as you can and with this combo you never have to think about draining your energy. Now the only thing that drains your energy is Thermal vision - and that’s a minimal drain right there.
Observer or Impenetrable. With observer you want to see their footprints as you stalk them and use your heat vision to it’s best potential. You can use Impenetrable for those moments when u risk and go in to take the downed FT / make last kill or two.
Another truth is: HUNTER is just a better Scout. PERIOD
Here’s why:
After the patch they basically buffed the Hunter and Scout, but stats wise there’s absolutely no reason to pick Scout over Hunter as of it is right now. Yeah you get the a little bit more speed aaaaaaaand that’s pretty much it. Health wise Scout is still a glass figure. With Hunter you can down FT, rush in (if his teammates are further away) and risk to take some dmg because of better health (if u combine it with Impenetrable its even better) stats.
And before you ask - Im LVL 100, Predator-Only player. Usually playing against similar level (machmaking) players who play with mouse and keyboard.

nice name first of all! I do feel there is an important change when it comes to the second wind. Others may have different experiences but i havent been chased down and knifed since the patch. i have heard FT chase and get winded however.
I just played a recon team and it was tough. I got my mask blown off halfway and was able to catch all but one at extract. I feel like it would have been a stalemate pre patch but there is a bit more survivability now with damage resist or health increase (whatever they did there) and boar tracking and feeding speed.
