So 24 hours since patch hit, feedback?

Here is the breakdown. Bum rush tactics dont work for predator. 2 this is a pc game not really a playstation game. Aiming for arrow predictions is a lot harder with the predator. 4 dont go stomping through the forest u can jump and not even move and they can see u. 5 you dont have to be in the trees. Plasma cannon for groups. 6 downed oppent jump slam is amazing. I win prolly 80 percent of predator games and the other is downing 1 or 2 at the chopper with combistick or disc. Or net gun them before they take off. The bow buffs were needed. Now for fireteam. 1 they have health packs and 2 shots of adren. 2 Sniper rifle zen inmo just needed more space between shots. 3 fireteams have been running wherever they please and hunting predators. Now thats not the case. Arrows take skill and imo seperate bad pred aka rushing in berserks to hunters that actually hunt.

Games are running longer now because the predator can actually do something. Out of most my predator wins a cocky scout chases me i turn a corner and wait with my combi stick and throw it through his skull. It may be my playstyle but fireteams havnt been so cocky today

The patch was pretty bad. There are things they attempted to do, but way to extreme and not well thought out. Plus they did not address the issues that have been plaguing players for quite some time, and did stupid stuff that no players asked for, such as reduced significantly, the amount of AI around the map.

For example:

-*Healing

FT: They removed most of the static healing stations around the map, reduced the amount of healing kits the FT member can carry (from 3 to 2), and increased the weight of it for their pack.

Now in essence, none of those 3 are bad in itself, but all three is way too extreme. I’ll move on to why this was really bad design. They also increased the weight cost of the combat stim.

Predator: Added to target isolation where boars are located (to feast on) < Great idea. REDUCED speed and imo intelligence of the boar, okay kinda like, what? And added a TON of boars. There are a crap ton that now spawn over the map. The predator really does not need to carry healing or practice health management with this patch.

How do you as a designer arbitrarily nerf most or all healing from one team and then take away the need for health management for the other? That is just sloppy design.

I’m not saying that there was not something needed to be done for both the FT and Predator, in terms of buffing one and reducing the other, but both of these are just retardedly extreme and sloppy on both sides.

This doesn’t even include what they did with loot boxes <- again no one asked for.

There are a ton of bugs players are still having, and now we have new technical errors that have popped up - Read customizing your loadout is now lagging 1-3 (or more seconds) moving just between helmet choices (or anything else).

I appreciate the devs trying to patch stuff, but I will not and refuse to pat them on the back for being lazy and throwing out a crap patch. Sorry all, it really was.

You didnt spell shit, you just kept bitching without giving a single valid reason as to why Ranged builds “suck so bad rn”. I gave u actual arguments as to prove how much of a scrub an a bitch u are. I even gave u actual loadout and reasoning why u should usr them. I even offered you links to high lvl matches vs PC FT players who are 90-100 lvl grinders - just to prove how pathetic and wrong u are. In return you decided to stay a bitch.

In my opinion, the supports might be OP at this moment in time, ESPECIALLY in multiples. They can mow down a melee predator quickly, and be safe enough with their infinite heals and ammo packs against ranged attacks. I think the devs might want to swap the gear carry capacity to a different class… It feels broken that the supports have both highest damage AND highest carry capacity. Low perk count doesn’t truly balance it out enough. That they can both carry a minigun AND med packs is busted.

The predator feels to be in good place in terms of game balance, however it feels wrong that some of the predators weapons are just flat out useless. From game balance point its not bad since he doesnt need them, but it feels wrong that you basically handicap yourself if you take them. The disk and the club for example.

Overall, I think the game is in decent balance, as long as nobody tries to abuse anything. Both sides feel challenging.

The pig change was awesome, helped the predator a great deal.

I dont neccesarily agree the support class Is broken, it’s that the lmg is the best weapon for him right now. Thick skin and faster reload make it a beast. I like the idea if carrying both med packs and ammo kits for my team, allows me to be that, well, support for them, means less time searching for ammo and health kits on the map, especially as they have been made more rare. I actually want to see the weight of med packs and ammo kits brought down to 4 myself, 5 is really high. I think they just gotta work on dedicated classes to help with overall fireteam balancing, no more nerds to weapons or gear, but rework the classes. I do think the predators are in a good place, it’s their weapons that need changing. Bow needs to get the bonus from Down range. Plasma caster should be able to be charged without needing to give away your position, then snap down sights and fire, allowing for some nice stealth shots. The vocal sounds of the predator need to be lessened but not taken away completely. Spotting doesnt need to go away just make it hard to spot. Doesnt matter to me much anymore because my friend and I stopped spotting because it let the predstor know we know where it is, instead we equip our snipers and lay waste into the predator. The grenade launcher for the fireteam needs its impact grenades back, and the minigun…well I dont use it because it really isnt that good if a weapon, anything past 20 ft it has trouble hitting reliably. The warclub needs big changes as does the sword. The combistick is fine where it is at, maybe remove the blinding effect, it doesnt need two unique things (throw able and blinding). That. Is just some of my thoughts currently, there is more just csnt think of anymore right now.

Give me a good reason why the best fire team composition isn’t 4 supports?

Movement speed, lack of perks, you already know their gear load out is gonna most likely be med kits and ammo, utilizing their slow speed you are gonna be able to down them at range. If you are a shit predator who wants to melee that go ahead, doesnt make the team comp broken just makes that predator player bad at the game. The majority shouldn’t be punished because ta good chunk pred players wanna to simply not have to try, especially bad pred players. Thst isnt balance, its biased.

Only annoying part is watching them get each other back, oit of everything, knowing that they will tank it to get their buddy up would be annoying, but there are plenty of work around. Netting the guy getting his buddy up, throwing your disc, cutting through him if his is dumb enough to stand there, then immediately recall it, leap down to flash them, then bow shot or once again, net gun. You could also try to just down and immediately kill, not neccesarily claim them one by one the claim the last couple of trophies. There is plenty you can do against them especially as if they second wind you, with your ability to leap in second wind, they wont be catching you. There is almost always those fireteam members that still think they can catch the predator in second wind, well now they are isolated and able to be picked off, and a support wont be able to be saved by his buddies fast enough, you will even have time to quick claim, or use him as bait. The strategies are vast and able to be used to a varied amount, just requires thinking and an understanding of the class and the players themselves, watch them for a moment, tease them with your PC, maybe a trap, gauge their reactions and figure out how to deal with each from there.

The thing is, these two things don’t really matter. Its the same reason why people were complaining about berserkers. Supports can just walk to objectives and do them. Ignore the predator unless it attacks, in which case it either dies or is driven away. If they take damage, they just put down one of eight medpacks (assuming its a team of all supports), which all four can heal to full from one pack. They certainly have the advantage in ranged combat.

I don’t mean that supports are OP in general (stacked supports might be even that), they are OP in comparison to the other FT classes in my opinion. I can’t find a plausible reason why not just take 4 supports as a group if thats an option.

The AI poses so little threat that all they need to worry about is the predator really, and he cant melee attack when 4 guys are leveling machineguns at him. Same at range.

I see what you mean now, support I’d say is a step above the rest because of health and the amount of heals, the assaults can being with them the med kit as well but can be dealt with easier. All I’d say for balancing the support is simply increase his stamina consumption, he is carrying a ton of gear after all. I dont want to see him take more damage or carry less. Perhaps they should also change how the med kits work, instead of 3 uses I think it is, give them a set amount of hp they can heal. Like 200 for example. That way you still have them for use, but less uses overall.

I found an issue with the FT as well being why not just pick assault/support there’s not enough benefits to want to pick the other ones. Honestly they need to balance the classes on the FT side which is going to be difficult.

This game is horribly bad after the latest patch. I have been playing and enjoying the pre-1.06 release a lot albeit there were instances were it got hard for the predator. Now, it is just spamming the spotting button for the fire team, spotting by pure chance over vast distances.

Also, I have been shelling a a team with charged plasma shots at the train yard several times in one (!) match and I just got one FT member (!) down. And of course, he disconnected so that my scoreboard did not even grant me the f*ing kill.

Besides, all FT members can just run almost indefinitely, meaning the time to regain stamina is like what?! 3-4 seconds?! Really?! IT happens so often that you have to chase them because isolation targeting does not help anymore as everyone just muds up in 3 seconds.

It happened to in several games right now that I found the FT after 3 minutes or more and then had to hurry. Because with medpacks, revives and reinforcements they have much less time pressure than the predator.

I am really considering quitting the game, but I payed for it and I really want to enjoy it. Right now, the game is neither balanced nor fun. Therefore, no money from me if DLCs are released at some point because right now, the devs have to do their job!

I have a blast with the new patch. I think they did the right decisions there. I give it a thumbs up.
Looking forward to next patch and tweaks :)
