Nothing against BTL, he makes great content and is entertaining, but Shifo takes on tougher competition (premises, sweaty squads) and when he takes or randoms, he destroys them with brutal efficiency. Shifo has a really good understanding of what works, tactics and good execution.

I’ve played against Flash Gordon several times…he is really good as predator…
or maybe all the games he plays are matched with his personally premades who are incompetent enough to get me killed.
predator players being skilled…it’s a game designed for camping and 3rd person jumping back and forth over your first person opponent, that’s pretty much it. Rest of them just jump in head first and die.

Almost everyone I play with, and quite of a few ppl who I talk to on here, think blood thirsty ain’t shit.
For the longest all he did say was focus on bugs if it his builds, and hes a generic youtuber, hes annoying as fuck. Not only that, theres been like 3 youtubers on here who have said bloodthirsty copies them.
So ya, fk that guy.
I guess it’s a possibility, but what would be the point? His channel is not even that popular and it’s easy to check that there’s a variety in teams so it’s unlikely that all of them are his friend. (He’d have way more subscribers then, I think) Those teams do seem to do a lot of damage to pred and there are tactics behind his play and theirs. You’d really need to do a lot to stage it all. But, I have no actual proof, though I did watch most videos from 2 month ago. I watched a lot of Shifo before and I is my humble opinion that Flash Gordon is a bit better (hope Shifo forgives me 😁)

I want to post these two games since I think they are pretty indicative of the current changes. Let me preface this with two facts:

Hindsight is 20/20. Yes, I made stupid mistakes at times, but think about how punishable mistakes are when Predator vs. when Fireteam.

In this game the biggest mistake was giving up the high ground. Why did I do this? Because I know the FT has at least 3 medkits - the permaheal plus 2 from their support. This is NOT including any health around the map that spawns randomly, not including syrette’s or ammo crates. Playing “Plasma pop-up” vs 2 snipers means I run a HUGE risk losing my mask in return for “draining” their resources… (Assuming I don’t let them revive and they get ALL their health back). The current meta incentivizes quick kills into claiming, then killing them at the trapped respawn. My hope was to combi throw the scout into a quick claim. @DPRK_Chopra @Shaymin99

The reason for winning here wasn’t necessarily me… it was that the AI ended up chipping away at them. Does this feel satisfying as Pred? No. In fact, I won because I bunny hopped around and got kills in the most “unpredator” like way… by spamming combi throw and letting the AI help.

To add some context for the fireteam on these games, the core of this group has played together on and off since shortly after release and we tend to know each other’s play styles and can take different roles.

I keep pressure on the predator by spotting, chasing, and pushing mission
boggs was support carrying medkit and ammo
PJ was our 4th in the first game, assault, carrying an ammo pack
RighteousZeal was our 4th in the second game, Dutch, carrying an ammo pack, first time we played with him
these are how the games went from my perspective:
Game 1: I tried to keep you spotted as often as possible, and make you feel like healing was not safe. PJ and Boggs hurt you pretty good early on causing you to need to heal. When you heal at 3:45, I had chased you down, but I had expected you to hop up onto the back of the tall rock to heal instead of where you did, so you see me briefly show up at 3:55 or so as you jump over me. I then realized that Shaymin was alone so i sprinted back to provide support. I got there just in time to unload an extended mag clip of PDW-Z on you while you were fighting her, which caused you to run, and she second winded you with a sniper shot when you jumped out, then I chased you down.
Game 2: We made a mistake, Shaymin and I got too far ahead of the rest of the group while pushing the mission and then I failed to punish you enough for claiming her, I needed to have better aim in that fight and get you to second wind, I hadn’t managed my ammo well in the fight before she got downed and I didn’t have a full clip so needed to reload, losing time to do as much damage as possible while you were stationary claiming her. I was able to chase, but didn’t catch up to you until after you healed at 3:35 or so, and then when we were a player down and facing AI at a map location that it’s hard to fight AI at, we weren’t able to either focus enough on you or enough on the AI.

Personally I think the game is balanced for randoms, as soon as you have a coordinated PC FT on comms any balance goes out the window. I will be interested to see if anyone does pull this off legit though.
Whenever a PC premade loses to pred now, at the end of the match they claim that they are randoms 😂. Gotta save face somehow
