I mean, for my job I’m required to work on holidays, it’s honestly not that bad. Nice break from my family tbh. Worked thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and I’m working New Years Eve (today) and New Years Day as well.

Don’t even get holiday pay or overtime lol, sweet sweet min wage at a veterinary office lmfao.

That must really suck, given that animals have such care and regard in a veterinarian’s office, you would think for human beings, such as employees of such business…the owners and authorities would think more highly. But yeah…

You probably have others like doctors and nurses being on the watch during holidays and not receiving a proper and decent care when it comes to that as well, let alone quality of work and life balance (fuck that, throw it out the damn window eh?)

It doesn’t suck as much as you would think. It’s a nice job to help me get through pre-med.

Either that or I’m finally developing Stockholm syndrome to my job.

I would go with Stockholm, the second option.

People need a break and cut some slack if not properly rewarded for their times away from family, friends…close ones. When it comes to holidays.

Is the least thing to be made since time is limited and is our most precious resource. However, hope your future is brighter and innovation and consideration is in high regards in your practice along the way…

Thanks man! I start a new job in January with a pharmaceutical company though, with double my pay and less required hours, don’t even have to work holidays. Should also help prepare me for med school better.
