Romulus - Disney, nonsense get rich quick teen sci fi horror drama movie plot with hard copy paste of the OG franchise.

Yeahhhhh, its language like this that turns me off from siding or having anything really to do with your opinion. Like no offense but those are garbage takes, its reminds me of an ex-friend who was hardcore right wing anti-woke anti-progression who shat on anything of the sort. Which is funny because we watched Prey and he didn’t pick up on any woke/feminist/minority themes, which he hardcore seeks out and looks for just to fuel his arguments. Yeah I never got any of those vibes from Prey or Romulus that you list off. I also loved Romulus since Fede Alvarez directed it, and his re-sequel-make of Evil Dead is one of my favorite horror films of all time.

Fan service. Its literally invoking the audience to do the Leonardo DiCaprio point-at-the-screen meme. Like I get it, but it doesn’t need to be done, come up with new one liners, make something that people will remember from YOUR film, not immediately think about the far superior original.

Like I said above, I think Predators 2010 is pretty undeniably the best sequel for me.

I’ve been meaning to watch this again for a few weeks now, but I do remember it being a very entry in the franchise. Pred 2 will always be my favorite and best sequel, but what Predators did with adding in Super Preds and expanding the lore was something the franchise desperately needed at the time.

And at that point the big headed dummy looking preds took off.

AvP is not about Preds only, altho it revolved around mainly. It is also another franchise.
I’m ranking the movies overall, not what can be best compared to the Pred OG.
Yes I get the nostalgic jungle fever with it as well and love the acting, right until I see the wannabe primeval savage weirdos with the big heads, obnoxious masks and laugh out loud, from there on the circus is queued and let the copy pasting or boring writing begin.

You must be american, if from everything I just wrote you latch on to the obvious politics and ideological vision stance of the writer and their team.
And I don’t really care what wrong stereotypes you can fixate to me.
Before I have an opinion, I value things on much higher scale. Sometimes the most important context is in what is not being said.
Mind you, all these products are pretty much an equivalent of money laundry.

I’m not surprised that you rate these movies on all the wrong factors, some cultlike fan loyalty that has nothing to do with the end product, entirely emotionally or simply your bar is way too low.

Btw did you guys get subtitles for Prey in the theater?
50% or more of the movie is talking to the 300 IQ cute doggo in mumbo jumbo or french speech?
I never understood what the fuck were they saying, kuz I pirated it.
Or was it some -300IQ decision to make the viewers imagination fill in the blanks depending on the scenario?

Yes I did not express my thoughts properly, I saw that, but did not bother editing :D

It was meant to paint the alien spaceship traveling hunter clans concept and the actual predator design that was much more subtle and highly based on the Original movies, there is also a reason Choppy and Celtic died and our big hero was Scar.

I don’t think any dev is willing to touch Rankin and Bass IPs. For the last decade, so many properties have been made into games, Transformers Gen1, TMNT, Ghostbusters…
They won’t touch the beloved Thundercarts, Silverhawks or the might of Tigersharks!
