anyone can test it themselves, like the dps a single ft can do will be less than the predator’s unless the players are using bad weapons/builds, which is part of the reason its easy to 1v1 preds, most of them dont seem to know how the game works and what is effective or not, and people run sawz/pistol, that will outdamage vs shit like warclub, but when you are vs an amazon ghost with sickle, you just cant 2nd wind in time before it downs you most of the time, or just using good weapons as predator will give the player the advantage.
But then you add more fts that can shoot back, things change. I would the game is around 1v2 depending on most good builds in regards to balance, I mean if all players are on the same skill level, 1v3 ft wins, 1v4 ft destros pred, might have more firepower but they tend to spread out more due to having more players which allows pred to sneak on one. Like a 10/10 pred will have a tough fight vs 2 10/10 fts since 2 are capable of outdmg it. When we say ft is op it is when you have multiple players in party communicating with each other, certain team compositions, if they all running meta weapons etc.

You are saying two things right now:
- I rarely manage to beat a player capable of dealing 10k damage to me. Even if I somehow succeed despite the challenges, it doesn’t really mean anything.
- From the above statement: I’m a newbie because a single FT member prevents me from handling the entire team.
However, if you were really a newbie you wouldn’t be able to withstand 10k dmg. You’d be death much earlier. The problem is that, for some reason, you can’t outdamage that FT member (according to Samhain).
The reasons could be: 1. lack of skills ; 2. better opponent ; 3. the game is heavily unbalanced. In your case, you’re playing against Samhain. Everyone knows what can happen. Surprisingly, you defeat him, and that is nothing? If we follow the logic, the victory would only be insignificant if we assume that the game is unbalanced in your favor? (“I often don’t win those games when he’s alone. Hell, the guy racked up 10k damage on me and the ft escaped”) The other possible explanation is that you’re a newbie, which I doubt.
Either the community is full of people with no skills, or the game is unbalanced in favor of the Fireteam. Maybe both?
I believe that the people who have been playing this game for such a long time have enough experience.

when i did 10k dmg that was years ago, he improved since that, last times I played vs him he killed me with hook+amazon, idk vs disk solo i have a 50/50 winrate or something
both balance and skill gap will affect things in game, the game is unbalanced to the ft favor when you have people together, actually since october update it is harder to 1v1 preds because of the increase to body armor, so they take a little more dmg, if multiple fts shoot there isnt much difference from before but in 1v1 its noticiable. Premades are more op now due to nerf to pred ranged weapons, 1v1 things like pistol or bow can still work but not in 1v4 also the nerf to 101112 ammo limits solo players on making some op builds, as premade doesnt matter you can just have someone bring ammo but solo now you either bring ammo or use another secondary.

I know right 😂 but really it’s a shame because not many people fought of giving a genuine answer only “BoT GaMeS ARe USeLeSs” or insulting eachother yet I’m sat here at lvl 102 happy and jolly and I need no skill to show that because I found an easy and ‘fun’ farming strategy before those Einsteins could for the life of them… No offence to those who could care enough

You don’t reply to anyone specifically, you just express your own opinion, maybe to convince others of something. I like your passion. However, you’ve been playing this game since your childhood.

I understand that you’re trying to save his reputation. I believe he was sincere enough, for which I thank him. One thing I’m sure of: if I were in his place (no matter the result), your arguments would be taking a different direction. :)
The 10k game was not recent. In a normal game of 1 good ft with 3 random vs 1 good pred, from my experience the winner is whoever gets the jump on the other guy. If pred is over 80 ping, he’s likely to lose. I know I have a screen shot of a game I played vs Sam 1v1 that took so damn long his potatoes managed to escape the plasma fryer.
My point is that the ft most definitely has the advantage and the game is unbalanced.
1v1, while allowing skill expression, is balanced too far in the ft’s favor. When I’m vs Sam and he only has potatoes, I feel it shouldn’t be quite that damn difficult to wreck a team.

Admittedly, and I’ll be honest, not a lot of people here know what “fun” is, especially when it comes to this game. The “fun” was lost years ago when it became apparent that Illfonic wasn’t going to listen to feedback and suggestions and just do their own thing. So we’ve kind of evolved to just enjoying (I use this word loosely) the game for its competitiveness or making fun of how shitty it’s been made to be. Newer players like yourself will find newfound joy in certain things, like playing solo privates with bots, while the rest of us continue to repeat the same things over and over (balance issues, illfonic sucks, stats and numbers, drama with others, etc.). I kind of envy you, I wish I could remember what it was like to have fun with this game as you do.

Ah I see , must be my eagerness to play that keeps me going … What I do is set out objectives like how I want to get to lvl 150 to get tank dreds for my ‘preddy’ and I keep myself going with opening crates every few levels since it’s 3 per lvl past 100 or do private fireteam games as it gives a bit more xp…also it might just be that I’m addicted to using smart disc lol

I think this answers the questions I raised in the begining. In the community, there are people who have been playing the game since childhood and get offended when someone “tarnishes” their reputation (be it with screenshots, hacks abuse, just words, etc.). They feel the need to maintain their reputation at all cost.
The last time I got bored & played some pubs I kept running into this one guy (can’t remember his name) but my God did the Smart Disc piss him off for some reason. In one of the games I remember downing everyone with the Disc within the first 2 or 3 throws about 40ish seconds into the game & he started raging calling me a hacker & a p*ssy who can only use Disc. He then proceeded to quit upon seeing my name in the lobby every game after that.
This game’s playerbase can be hilarious sometimes.
