Not being a shitty player. I get spotted maybe once or twice an encounter and less if I play the scout. I play on ps4 and have left crossplay on and even when playing against pc players i dont get spotted very easily. I would look at ur tactics and maybe change them. Idk what to tell you
Spotting needs a cool down
Spotting on PC is significantly easier than playstation because of the location of spot button in relation to the WASD keys.
Either way its spammy as hell.
I think they should leave the cool down and either take out the red āwall hackā outline - or make it the exclusive ability of the Recon class with a 10 second cool down before your spot can āwallhackā the predator again.

That being said JESSIE youāre playing on PS4 so you arenāt qualified to discuss the spot mechanic on PC. Iām playing PC FT and Iām spotting the predator 10 times per match because -
A) The E key is within reach of WASD - I dont have to stop moving to spot unless itās an awkward position.
B) I am pulling 60 fps flat on a 4k TV with very high settings, if the predator is moving I am going to see him cloak or not.
Maybe Iām old fashioned but there used to be a time where you would shout out compass points, you know those numbers on the top of the screen?
If you were as godlike at this game as you claim Iām sure you wouldnāt be arsed about a minor nerf to the spot mechanic.
The people saying get good are the ones standing still getting shot by the bow from half way across the map and walking past predators standing still on the ground

a predator can take a lot of shots because of their armorā¦that s why we take like 200 bullets from the FT.
and btwā¦with good perks for fireteam like bane and owlf training (for resitence) u can take a pred down with only 40 bullets from the hammer headā¦idk why u said 200 bullets.

Iām a scout and I normally win against most average to decent ft but pro ft matches I struggle to get a foot hold because not a second goes by that Iām not spotted the entire match. Sometimes I win but normally it ends with me getting tracked down in second wind and lit up.

Donāt get me wrong I love the challenge but pro fireteams are almost untouchable unless you get lucky and they make a mistake at the right time
I agree spotting is nessesary for communication however it should not hilight the predator for this reason

They need to end crossplay and balance both versions separately. The problems a lot of people have are platform specific. Spotting is fine on ps4. Itās not as easy with a controller to actually get a full spot on the pred and most of the time thereās only one or two team members actually trying.
What is realistic is arbitrary in fantasy world. Calling back once dead soldiers, healing with immediacy, an alien that has the technology that is loud enough to just sound cool from an audio engineering standpoint, a predator who has the violence brooding sophistication of a teenage warlording gang affiliate.lol.

Sure, give spotting a nerf. I would also like some nerfs:
Plasma caster nerfing. Its not OP (like spotting) just annoying as hell (like spotting). Decrease by a good amount splash range and damage.
Give elder sword and scythe a nerf pls. Decrease burst, move the majority of the damage to the last hit. Decrease attack speed.
I can probably think of more but those are what annoys me. Hey, if we nerf things that annoy us because they annoy us and instead of getting better we just nerfā¦ Why not?!
