You can solo a Pred. I do it all the time in Quick Play and I fucking suck at Fireteam.
Hell I’ve already solo’d no less than 4 with Izzy since she dropped.
Numbers, plus reliability. Which is to your point. Yes the weapon also needs to be good in practical use. That’s why the bow is god tier. High numbers, and also very easy to use

You can 1-man a Predator, easily, but not a “top Predator”. There’s a difference. ;)
Explosives and plasma weapons ignore Inpen, so frag grenades, under-barrel grenades, rockets, and the new NRV-E are going to rip you up, regardless.
I’d rather have more chances to recover and faster healing to keep the pressure so they can’t use medic kits and ammo crates without getting punished.

You can win a match with anything … if you play public matches, 9/10 teams are dogshit. I literally use the warclub every game now out of boredom and wanting to challenge myself, and win those games. Sure , you bump into the four man and go, damn. Wish I had anything else. But you make do. Also, if me winning all my games using the warclub meant the war club is good, that would be me using anecdotal evidence to make a false claim
