alright so i’ll just help you out here technically speaking the first computer game occured in the 1950’s but it was pretty much exclusive to military or universities and was capable of playing tic tac toe however the first commercial computor game was “spacewar” on mainframe computers which came out 1 year before Arcades in 1972 however these types of games failed horribly due to scaricity of computor parts then arcades dominated the market (first gen consoles released in 72 also) until 76 which was the “golden age” of video games coinciding with the release of the 2nd gen consoles ie your SNES computer gaming didn’t really start to take off until 1982 with the release of the commodore 64
there is the history lesson and er it seems like Fire was still right good games didn’t come out till either the arcade era or the Golden era both were before PC games were successful on the market place
now did PC games exist first yes! were they good? no they weren’t compared to the competition as they failed in the market place until 82
