Stop quiting during claims mates

If you are already dead and they are defending your body you aren’t punishing them at all they get the same exact rewards

i was referring more to the reward of satisfaction of the predplayer watching as he/she gets buried 6 feet under.

but i hear ya… when i die, i congratulate the team at the end even though i am already fully leveled. just good show of sportsmanship.

The game could probably use a better system of allowing the predator to leave after death because the game is in fact entirely over for them and now they just sit and watch. If you like giving GG’s after that’s cool though

I have utterly no interest in waiting while the fireteam talks shit and teabags the body when I could be moving onto another round. When Predator dies, there’s nothing for the Predator player to do. Sure GG is cool and all but it’s wasted time at least for me on people I will never run a match with again nor care that I acknowledged them.

A DC penalty would work wonders here. Five minutes would be a good starting length. Not too long in case you actually have to do something but not too short to where it’ll mean nothing. Game crashes would not be punished by this system and it would only activate if you DCed while you were still in the match. Leaving after you died or escaped wouldn’t hurt you at all (you’d also keep your XP and veritanium).

Also, claiming DCed FT members should count towards your score and trophies.

Easy fix is the devs need to make the game longer ffs. Not 15 min and if FT die thats it. There needs to be some incentive like stages in the maps progression etc. Also not the ridiculous que times. Being in a long que and then dying can piss anyone off lol. Perhaps make the game have rounds. Die …wait for reinforcement or round 2. There are plenty of ways to be creative here. A word these devs don’t like.

A good idea can be the rematch option after the first game. So you can play quickly one more game without waiting 10+ more minutes and this can give an incentive to avoid abandoning the match.

Yup the lobbies should stay after each match. It feels like they forgot matchmaking and last minute threw it together

Fireteam still gets to claim the body. You dont need the player for it.

Ive had predators leave after the disarm and I feel for em. Sit there with your dick in your hand while you watch a bunch dudes you’ll never see again run around killing braindead AI that walks a line directly to them.

Its a legitimate waste of time. Like watching paint dry. Boring as fuck.

If a FT ever fails to keep the body you should just put the sticks/keyboard down.

Now if it was actually a challenge to keep it and they could die in the process thats an interesting watching. Could they fail under pressure?

Right now its nothing. Easy as hell.

Im not saying change that but honestly, once you reach level 100 there is no incentive to stay and waste your own life time waiting doing nothing.

Also in this game, wins, losses, who cares, they dont track a thing.

Yeah once Pred is outta the way, AI skill should dramatically increase as well as their damage output…

Yes, they have to put win rate and stats to the game, is not hard.

This is a good idea, but it should come AFTER a bunch of stuff is addressed. Almost one of the final things.

Yes and no. Putting stats like this in would in theory help them better gauge how tweaks and changes affect the balance of the game by looking at win/loss/down/etc. metrics.

But I understand where you are coming from. I think it is safe to say that leaving some of the larger bugs in the game would also make most of these metrics invalid.

Honestly, at this point, it’s hardly worth playing anymore. Virtually every game as pred I’ve played in the last 2 days someone has quit early. Sometimes it’s as soon as you deal significant damage. Yesterday I even saw someone quit because his buddy got claimed and quit, which left only 1 FT left.

It’s a sad state right now. FT loses most of the time because no one communicates or sticks together. The only FTs I have trouble with are those who are constantly watching each other’s backs. Most matches are over far too quick.

Something needs to be done. Don’t count on it soon, though. I suspect Illfonic is on a schedule from Sony and they need to hit their DLC roadmap, bugs be dammed.

I played 12 matches as Pred today and every match some people quit after the first claim, except one ft group that was on comms and it was really fun to play againts them.

Even then, I would still leave lol

Probabily a ranked system and a rematch option can give an incentive to players to not quitting matches, maybe.

You’re dead, you have wait long queues, the nature of the game like this, acceptable, but there’s literally nothing to do or point once you’re dead as pred.

Fire team can still win by extract and such but nothing exists like that in Preds gameplay (Please do not fucking add more, game’s broken enough as it is.)

Im not against a rank system sure, bring on the elo/mmr, but stream line the game ( ontop of fixing it first)

Give him a scene from Pred 2 were glover shoots him up and takes him down, I dont care but he’s dead, set him free automatically.
