Where I grew up we measure distance in kilometers but speed in Miles. We measure gas in liters, but milk and juice in gallons. We measure weight solids in grams, but liquid in ounces.
We work with both, it is the rest of the world the ones who can’t work with imperial, not the other way around.
That being said, some things are always going to be imperial no matter what (anything base 2).

But the whole fuckin point of metric is that it’s standardised. Makes it kinda pointless if only some people adopt it. 'Sides, i’m too drunk and stupid to memorise more than one measurement system, and so far in life, just metric has worked fine for me.
