I’m ps4, and tbh I’ve never heard of Epic games. Hol up I’ll do a search real quick.
I’ve had to temporarily turn off crossplay due to the game crashing evry time I get into a match with pc players.
You need to link your ps account to the Epic Games Account you create.
I’m a PS5 player and I can already tell you how this is gonna go.

No, you dont have to buy the game on Epic, you can play on ps , Just gonna have your ps account linked to it, so you can add people from Epic.

Either get the epic games launcher on your PC/laptop and make an account there to add epic players or download Fortnite or some other crossplay game with epic and add them there.
