The Player Observation Thread

Thanks for the in depth reply good sir!

Your memes and montages are top notch btw :D

I get where you come from.

Whats funny is I can actually tell from your crosshair video comparison, that you were way more comfortable and used to the default. You seemed to use the overlay mostly in attempts to land hard noscopes while mostly strafing. As in you expected most impact would have been felt there. Not in this game. Try it in AvP2 noscoping :D::D:D few years back unless I duel a good player that strafes, aware of me aiming at him I pretty much did not need scope even at +100 meters. Can’t imagine using an overlay at that time, would be disgusting. :D

I can see few shots that you actually had use of it with the micro play behind that. As you hinted towards pre aiming, hit calculation/timing earlier.

Yes for sure in the right hands it can either be useless/innocent or get crazy.
But objectively not given by game developers crosshair for some weapons and using 3rd party to get around that is gaining personal advantage/cheating, so speaking against that is perfectly understandable.

I think you’re mixing up custom crosshairs with overlay for weapons without crosshairs.
Technically yes, custom crosshairs do enhance the gameplay native to player, but without actually changing the games default concept or mechanics.
Interesting topic would be predator weapons with custom cross, I feel like there will be way more benefits tbh. :D

To get what I mean, maybe look at this for example, I can use that, but choose not to, since I know I will gain unfair advantage/awareness on top of sounds queues and after getting used to utilizing it will transition to some sick pre aiming accuracy or positional awareness.
I don’t play with sound anymore and losing mask as pred is a death sentence, but I will still not use that :D

Anyway you are 100% right it is a pointless topic to gnaw on, especially for this game.

Have a good one brother man! :)

Got him and dirty1 the other day. Didn’t notice them at all besides the names. Maybe it’s like ‘faze’ where every idiot just pretends to be in a super cool kids klub

RAZDUPLYATOR is such a moron😂

Raz and tabutus full pc death squad failed to kill me both times we met, raz’s ego solely relies on having his 4 man death squad. Told tabutu I’m waiting for raz to try to solo chase so I could give him a 3 shoe beating. His ego is off the charts in the timeliness.

Omg, droid saying that this dude is using walls too lmao

I don’t believe he’s using hacks, I believe he’s probably rocking potato graphics and has a good headset, I was able to heal pretty easy around him two matches in a row, just wish he would’ve chased. He loves his scout duelist but wouldn’t chase me.

Bruh the guy has walked straight past me sometimes when I’ve been cloaked nearby him & he was getting cocky trying to chase. Definitely not wall-hacking.

That droid guy is just a mega moron tho

He literally does the same thing every game. Tries to chase the Pred, misses every bullet, so mashes knife & tries to walk around the Pred in a circle while mashing knife.

He’s also walked straight past me while I’ve been cloaked nearby him several times like I said above. I don’t even get how someone could’ve accused him of being a wallhacker.

Using any form of third-party or manual crosshair—whether it’s via software, monitor settings, or drawing on the screen—is cheating. It gives a clear gameplay advantage, which is exactly why people use it. The devs intentionally did not place a static crosshair for all weapons or during hip-fire for a reason. Adding one bypasses that design choice and alters the game mechanics in your favor, which fits the very definition of cheating. Just because it’s not as blatant as wallhacks or aimbots doesn’t make it any less illegitimate. Trying to justify it doesn’t change the fact—it’s cheating, period.

Now go fuck yourself hypocrite.

i think you misunderstand how cheating in a video game works. putting a dot on your screen is very different to automatically locking on to opponents heads, shooting through walls, and knowing where everyone is at all times.

your basically saying that putting a laser sight on a gun is “cheating.”

You just repeated what I said and still missed the point.

Yes, aimbots and wallhacks are stronger cheats—but that doesn’t make smaller cheats suddenly okay. Putting a dot or crosshair on your screen is still cheating, because it gives you an unfair advantage the game does not give by design. That’s the definition of cheating.

You know exactly how the laser sight works—you’re just lying to make an excuse. The point only shows when firing and moves with the weapon. It’s part of the game mechanics. It doesn’t give a constant aiming point.

Just because it’s a smaller cheat doesn’t make it “not a cheat.” Stop pretending otherwise. You’re not fooling anyone.

I didn’t ask for the definition of cheating, I know very well the position crosshair overlays are in

However you specifically saying that is cheating is interesting 😘

someone must have really traumatized you if you cry this much over a crosshair mod. literally anyone can do it with a marker and a piece of tape. consoles cant have aimbot or any of that other stuff unless they are jailbroken (which is expensive)

Just for point of reference:
CSGO Tournament Rules (I know this is not CSGO this is PHG)

  1. No outside applications / executables / dll’s / workshop items, read ANY method of gaining an advantage over the other team is allowed in the tournament.

  2. Scripts – All scripts are illegal except for buy, toggle, demo scripts. A team may be penalized for having forbidden scripts in their configuration file, regardless if it was in use.

  3. Graphics drivers – Any modification or changing of the game using external graphics solutions or other 3rd party programs are strictly prohibited and may be punished under the cheating paragraph.

  4. Overlays – All kinds of overlays which will show the usage rate of the system in any way in-game (e.g. Nvidia SLI display, Rivatuner Overlay) is forbidden. Overlays which will show only the frames per second (FPS) are not forbidden and can be used.

  5. Custom Data – Players are not allowed to use any form of custom game files during the official matches. Only CSGO skins are allowed to bechanged. Any other changes, including but not limited to modification of sprites, HUDs, score boards, crosshairs are strictly disallowed

Let the discussion begin!!

No one’s crying—just stating facts you clearly can’t handle.

You slap a crosshair on your screen to gain an advantage the devs intentionally left out. That’s not skill, that’s cowardice. And now you’re trying to gaslight everyone into thinking it’s fine because “anyone can do it”? Pathetic.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a mod, a sticker, or a piece of tape— if you need something outside the game to help you aim, you’re cheating. And the fact that you’re throwing weak insults like “traumatized” just shows how insecure you are about it.

I like the level of your trolling) 😅 also respect that you don’t resort to insults.

I saw this a long time ago, I’m pretty sure windows has overlays too and you can basically turn on crosshair with a monitor + csgo I know has a fuck ton of custom crosshairs which crosshair overlays try to replicate walls and walls of available crosshairs,

I actually know a guy who might be able to talk about tournament rules

“HE HAS A SMALL DOT ON HIS SCREEN! HES CHEATING AND THE GAME IS RUINED!” -fairyautja 2025

i do hope you realize that you are the laughing stock of this community, throwing around accusations and ego everywhere.

it is A DOT. literally nothing has changed. people could use it and still have shitty aim. you wouldn’t understand though, because you claim “hacking” whenever someone spots you or shoots you with a single round
