I think overall the game is well balanced so far. It will never be perfect. Sure there are plenty of things that need fixing ( I.e. matchmaking). I’ve been lucky enough to play with great fireteams, where it’s a walk in the park doing the objectives and killing the pred. I’ve also played and witnessed predator at it’s best with Hollywood like moments, picking off the fire team one by one so strategically. It comes down to skill, experience and play style. Both FT & pred have their respective advantages and weaknesses. Some players get the hang of it quickly and have good strategies for both, others take a bit longer and need more game time to understand the mechanics. The game has huge potential and I personally hope and can’t wait to see it get better in the future.

Depends how good the fireteam are lol.
I definitly lose to a good team, but im also probably not going to let anyone get easy kill on me.
if you are really top team Itll be a choice of you can fend me off and get the mission done and escape, or chase me and fail the mission as i keep backing off and wearing down the team.
Also good depends on what bugs i encounter lol. if im stuck in a place or get the stamina bug and cant leap away or something like that, that can fuck an entire game up.
But well see.
For sure, there’s HUGE potential in this game. But all the noobs and sore losers constantly crying the the Devs for nerfs and buffs are going to ruin that potential. There’s been two weeks of nerfs and buffs now, can they concentrate on actual bugs and producing some new maps, missions, content and expanding in this awesome game.
Just had a berserker run up to us and kill all 3 (1 was already down).Yeah they have enough HP. No idea what the other guys where using or how good their were but just running up to us (we got to see him coming) and then being able to floor 3 people… Yeah, I do think that is enough HP.
@ObiJohn you must only fight random non coordinated FT. Like seriously i bet they were standing still as you shot them. Why do people put comments like the one you did about how good they are when all you did was kill a random non coordinated FireTeam. Seriously go into a private match with a great FT then you can come back and post.
Exact same happened to me just (you weren’t on my team by any chance, trying to reinforce the last guy in at the pyramid before we exfilled??🤣🤣), Zerker ran in on us and we were all dumping rounds into it but slice 1 slice 2 slice 3 and we were done. So anyone who says the Zerk needs a health buff needs their head examined🙄

Nop. different game. Just had another with a berserker. 1 left so we where only 3.Then the game bugged out and we could not do the mission. So the predator just hunted us out. We where at full health, run to us and kill the 3 remaining players. He used nets but never took advantage of them, he used some plasma blasts but never hit shit. Running in and melee 3 people with the combistick as the berserker needs a serious nerf.
Predators have 3 healt packs (and most people running zerker have the talent from my experience) and then countless pigs to regen over and over and over and over.
Your dumb af Just because Jason was strong dosent mean predator is the same way. You haven’t seen the movies have you. Give this game a break
PARRY

To parry 3 times to a berserker with a combistick, ending really low in HP and the berserker getting away. They really need to put in some way of punishing predators that overextend. As it is now they can get in, go really low and then escape with no worry. Only to heal over and over. This was also 4 people shooting at that berserker.
ther are some who are great at parry and then there is me, i can hardly ever parry i suck at it. but i just need to learn it.
And pred can go away and heal and use a pig etc, but the fireteam can carry health and find them on the map?!
It feels pretty balanced to me most of the time.
there are times when things tip one way or the other. maybe they find another heal box and are lucky, or you find 3 pigs in 1 place and are lucky… thats ok with me, a little bit of RNG is ok IMO.
Problem is that 1 mistake and the fireteam get’s wiped, something that happens really often with randoms. Predators can make countless mistakes and there is no way of exploding that or taking advantage to wipe his ass. He leaps like the hulk and is as fast as the flash compared to the humans. Predators can also get you really down in health with 2 arrows or 1 plasma blast. You need to put tons of bullets to do that to the predator. The predator also can take his time and time the attack so he does not get hit. Marines also have to do the mission and fight off NPC (distractions). So that is the problem. Its far easy for the predator to drain the marines resources.
thats why i have no problem with all the heals that the fireteam has, they can heal literally while you are parrying and fighting pred… their health goes back up between hits.
They can find stuff all over the map (some fixed, some rng) - predator can leap away in 2nd wind now yeah, but then the cooldown for the next 2nd wind is pretty long so if you manage to take them down again they are not getting 2nd wind againfor ages.
Im not saying its pefect but it just needs little tiny tweaks now, not “remove all heals” - " make pred have no pigs" and some other extreme stuff i keep hearing from some.
This is pre Patch 1.06? I mean look at some good predator players and see that they will wreck even a FT communicating on discord. GiantChiprel has tons of gameplay on Twitch of him SHITTING ON FT. I think it would be in ppls best interest to play the game the way the Illfonic designed it to be played.
The classes don’t have enough different about them to really make gameplay change a great amount. It seems certain types of gameplay work really well, and others don’t seem to understand that it’s not always the hack and slash answers.
At this point i honestly feel that illfonic are the joke.
Hey, remember the scene in Predator when Arnold parried the Predator and stunned him?
Yeah, me neither. In fact what I remember is the Predator WTF DOMINATING Arnold in the final fight scene. Strongest man on Earth was absolutely no match for Predator in hand to hand.
