The Predator is finally going to be the Protagonist

Yeah I don’t mind subspecies of Yautja but they don’t have to overdo it & introduce a new subspecies in every movie😂

Pretty much everyone loves the Super Predators or one of them at the very least & they are a fan favourite so if they were to bring back a subspecies of Yautja in any new/upcoming movies I think it should be them.

I fully agree just saying that there’s a lot of different Yautja’s to pull into a movie for a good story. I’m not sure if the Predator we are getting as the Protagonist IS a Yautja, but I’d be prepared knowing that with Dan at the helm, he’s gonna use the one he designed to be the face of HIS movies like Feral.

Again I’m mostly judging from the pictures that were leaked and seeing parallels in design.

Yeah I get what you mean dw.

But yeah from what small glimpses we’ve seen so far he does look most similar to Feral when compared to other Predator designs.

Which in my opinion, I’m not upset with. I actually like Feral’s design. I’m just curious where this could go. Now we have 10 more questions from the answer we were given.

“Touches you emotionally”

That is a very vague proposition.

The Predator in the original movie “touched me emotionally” when he took most of his gear to fight Dutch “in a fair fight”

The Predator in the Predator 2 movie “touched me emotionally” when he didn’t kill Leona because she was pregnant. And when he didn’t kill the child because he had a fake gun. The Elder predator “touched me emotionally” when he gave Harrigan a trophy.

The Predator in AvP “touched me emotionally” when he recruited Alexa as an ally.

The Predator in Predators (JH) “touched me emotionally” when he agreed to help Royce

Shall I continue?

“touched me emotionally” doesn’t mean shit. Sorry to burst all your Predator hero fantasies. This is Hollywood. You shouldn’t expect any less other than The Predator will be a villain or, at most, like in the AvP movies, a poor excuse of an anti-hero.

@Anonymous.Voorhees13 I really wanna talk about this photo, looking at it. Something seems off from the suit / armor to the head design.

How do you mean exactly

I want a Predator movie to actually be in space, where Bad Bloods raid a space colony and turn it into their own private hunting grounds, until the military get involved and it turns into a all out war, showing a three side story instead of just one beating the other

Badlands is taking place on an alien world that is more than likely a human colony from everything we’ve been told.

Love the idea,
hate the new face design of the Preds (the one from Prey).

I might have missed it, but I didn’t see anyone post the link to the Empire article, so just to be sure here it is:

Oh damn that was fast

This will be interesting

The last time this kind of happened was in AvP, it just didn’t feel right but then AvP had the least intimidating predators out of the whole franchise. I mean they might as well been all dancing in a McDonald’s commercial.

I view AVP Requiem (especially the extended version) as more of a movie featuring The Wolf. Ignore the annoying human fodder, turn up the brightness on your TV, and think of it as movie with Wolf at it’s centre, and it’s more tolerable.

The Strauss brothers made a terrible movie, but helped bring to life one of the best Predators (and designs) in the whole franchise. For that latter fact alone, they are (almost) forgiven for the travesty of the overall movie.

Bulky armour just makes them less interesting because then they are prohibited from physical activity on screen which equals to them sucking time away from action.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem only did something better which is throw in the preda/alien creature. I thought he was terrific. Wolf at least didn’t wear bulky gear.

The head of this Predator seems alittle off and the armor seems slim? Idk I’m reaching but after watching @Samhain13 I had a thought, since Elle Fanning has been said to be playing MULTIPLE characters…could we have something similar to Predator Concrete Jungle where she also serves as the narrator for the creature’s inner thoughts and dialogue?

Me personally I’m okay with that, but I’m more of the show don’t tell kinda viewer, but I think people will feel lost when that happens. Idk I think it would not only help new viewers but a nice callback to a amazing game.
