Because if there was a universal source of true good and evil, then animals wouldn’t kill and eat each other.
Think about it, if true good existed, why would this be so common?
We would have to classify animals as mindless evil creatures, and that is just extremely illogical and paranoid.
And if were going to have good and evil, then it has to be one or the other. You can not have a middle ground or exceptions otherwise it gets to chaotic.
