Graphic’s wise, I think this game is alright. Looks dated, but not much of a problem. I think most peoples grievances regarding visuals is the performance penalty it takes for little change.
Personally, I don’t care about it at all. My biggest criticism for this game is regarding well documented game breaking bugs that can be triggered at will (not random) and performance optimizations, which are virtually non-existent since you can go from 40 to 200 fps in one second just looking at the ground.

Agrreed, there is a problem setting PC settings at unlimited framerates as @FromTheHood pointed out to me. So there are work arounds to that by setting it to 90fps caps. Beleive me, this worked ,as well as turning settings like AA to MED.

Trust me, even capped at 60 you will see dips. I’ve been running this game at 720P capped at 60 frames and even with low graphics I get dips in certain areas of certain maps, particularly Headquarters and Backwater. To me, in a game today, having less than 60 fps even with low graphics at HD resolution is unacceptable. Even graphic intensive games like Red Dead Redemption and Cyberpunk, don’t tank like this at 720P with low graphics.
Is not like I’m asking for this game to run butter smooth at 4K, but at 720 having these issues? There’s definitely something wrong happening around here. If it was only me, I’d blame my hardware/os, but the consensus is general. Even people with 3090’s get shit unstable performance with this game.

are you running on SSDs? Nvme? I’ll get back to you after playing a few rounds of FT because Ive only been pred maining. But if you have a decent card like rx480 i think that was the mininal requirement, you shouldn’t have much problems playing the game. Just dont running into the water fall areas on HQ. I recall that shit fucked up but the majority of the maps and encounters should be good. I know, this game is a pain because of the fine tuning of your settings to get things to run just right.

It doesn’t make a difference. I tried this game on two different NVME’s and on SSD, loading times are practically the same.

Some have suggested dropping the overclocks… it doesn’t work, dropping the OC’s actually lowers my FPS by as much as 15-20 on PHG. This only happens WITH THIS GAME. I play plenty of other games that I get nothing but great performance out of them, usually in excess of 144FPS at 1440P, which is my monitor resolution/refresh rate

Well complain all you want, higher than 60fps is still a playable game.
But the drops and lags are witnessed by even lower hardware.

no you get lower than that because of the hotspots. which means you lose your VR consciousness and your zen is taken away for like a second or two. boo hoo hoo.

Well Phill can go ahead and Fall into a Huge Pile of All the Gamers shit. So then maybe he will understand that us Gamers Will respect them when they start putting games out that work Properly 100% on launch.
You dont see Gamers going after the a Developers of God of War, or Horizon Zero Dawn, or even the Lego game developers.
Even smaller, Company’s put out great games like, The one that Made Man eater.
But I refuse to Respect any Developers that put out half assed games at launch and attempt to fix them over time. Like cough cough Illfonic.

In all honesty, I’ve said this 100 times. This game always felt like an “early access game”. It still feels like it. It was priced like it. The problem was, it was never marketed like it, and it should had. Had it be marketed like it, nobody could complain without getting responses like “shut up, you knew what you were getting into”.

This is very true. They should have called the Beta the Alpha, and had it been an open To all Alpha, then the Launch should have been a payto play Beta that is a semi complete game, so that they could have gotten the funds to complete the game and in time got a Full title Release after they worked out all the Bugs.

Maneater was Publicly Funded. They just waited till they had more than enough money to make there game instead of just making a game then asking for money via dlc to finish there game.
