The samurai outfit doesn’t have to be a human cosplay, Preds have been traveling through time and space for ages, so they could get that gear from a travel to ancient Japan centuries ago. Just put some imagination on it…

Maybe but I feel like PC version should have launched way, way more later. Maybe that way it would have been better balanced althought it seems pretty hard to balance both on PC and PS4.

considering the game runs up to 95% fan speed easy JUST in main menu? HARD A** YES. The game is in the negative zone in terms of its PC port optimization
I concur.
I will admit some stuff has either been put off to the side or avoided all together, and I’m not defending Illfonic for that, but what I am saying is that we can help them fix these errors and issues, and better the game from that.

fair enough… but after the whole debacle with PC pre-order issues and their lack of consistent PC optimization work idk… I’ll wait to see if they ever do improve the game to what it can and should be
Most likely the Samurai Predator has fought some worthy Prey back in that time. And now he Honors this fallen Warriors. Gues the Race of the Enemy is no Point for a Predator. its just how well the Hunt and fight was the Prey delivered.

I really do wish they can get on PC’s many issues, as I was unironically considering getting an additional copy on PC to play with friends who do own PC’s in place of Playstation. Yea I sound like a shill at this point but Pre-Mades without the disadvantages of being a Ps4 dude in a PC Team sound great.

na u don’t, just how a full PC FT is atm, it’s pretty much mehhhh when it comes to who really is the hunter in that matchup. Stacking the strongest dps weapons on FT shouldn’t be a thing, kinda defeats the purpose of different classes as well. Not to mention long ranged combat skill is really just meh when it comes down to how they made snipers so arcade like.

Yeah, big game hunters often honor their prey by dressing up as Tigers. The problem with the Predator IP as a whole is that it’s been heavily diluted by questionable comics and other media (Archie vs Predator etc). This has led to loads of cross-genre crap usually designed solely to sell toys. I’m glad the game designers decided to focus on the first movie for the general atmosphere and look of the game. I’m also glad I won’t be forced to use goofy-ass toy Preds, I just feel sorry for FT players who’ll encounter them, as it will likely break the immersion seeing increasingly comical-looking Preds leaping through the jungle.
I have no problem with Preds taking trophies and wearing them (as implemented in game), but where do you think this ‘Samurai Pred’ picked up a bespoke fitting Samurai armour and bio-mask from?

Oh definitely, I get you on the Archie vs Predator and stuff like that. While I do like the EU Predator stuff, the obscenely wacky and source material unfriendly stuff like that is of course bad and should stay forgotten. NECA and by extension Kenner’s characters may have become truly Canon due to Alpha’s inclusion in the game as he’s a NECA Original and all that nice stuff, not to mention possible Nightstorm Teasers in the O.W.L.F Logs if you think hard enough during “Dutch’s Run In”. So it’ll be interesting how all of this intersects.
The game does not support a another gamemode just like dbd and f13 lol dumb dumb. Maps will come they are all currently working from home so everything they can do is very limited at the moment.
Can’t they craft that based on a civilization they admire? where do you think their armor and weapons come from? they must have some crazy blacksmiths on Yautja Prime. Just put some imagination on it, they are aliens, they doesn’t exist in real life…
I unironically agree, although it does encourage different playstyles with different classes with varying results.

Saying ‘use your imagination’ is not an argument. We can all use our imaginations and come up will all kinds of crazy shit. Take the guy who posted the thread about having ‘Dancing Predators’ in the game - it could be argued he’s using his imagination by imagining the Predator’s have a thriving break-dance culture scene back home.
I’m talking about keeping the original characterisation and stylings of the Predator, and not turning him into some genre-crossed joke.
