I curbed my expectations ever since we haven’t had a bugless update. So for quite a long time now. I always have hope something cool will come, but never truly expect any fixes.

I don’t think they are incompetent, i believe they took on a task that may have been a big shoe to fill in a universe with no modern pred game.

I believe it’s easy for all of us to say what we do, without truly knowing what is going on in the decision making department.

I curbed my expectations as well but they do keep lowering the bar. Every update since, I want to say Cleo has dropped in quality and keeps doing so.

You’re right we don’t know what’s going on in the decision making process however based off what we get it’s clearly not in favor of the community. The exile thing to me shows they don’t give a damn and are resorting to scam tactics to get more money out of people.

The bugs aren’t terrible, I don’t have an issue with it besides audio bugs. I want new weapons gear and perks. I wouldn’t mind if we never got another predator class again.

There is blatant deception and lying from the employees to the community. Its obvious if you’ve been around long enough and have read enough from the long-time users. You have people like Kass and Big Willy saying that they get all balancing suggestions from the forums, facebook, etc. and that they are…what was the word…devouring? Indulging? Inhaling? feedback from here, but…but they HAVEN’T. So many threads were made tagging these guys, with very, very detailed ideas and suggestions on how to improve the game, many without needing to add anything, just tweak some numbers in the coding. And they’ve been making these suggestions for over two years now, and nothing even close has come from it.

Add on a few other select shady decisions (others with more knowledge than me can attest to this), and the whole Exiled debacle, and you can see this company is in it for money and money alone. Recent DLC shows that they likely have all these models done and ready, and have for months now, they’re just timed to drop automatically. Nobody is legitimately working on this game anymore. And if they were, there would be more substantial changes with each update, and more often (Wolf, the constant black and blue screens, -1 bug, sound bug, etc. would have been taken care of within days, not weeks/months/never). Don’t be fooled by what anyone with an “Illfonic” next to their name says, they think we’re braindead consoomers. Read between the lines and see the truth.

Edit: I wanted to emphasize something, that I try to not lump Kass completely into these opinions. Call me a simp all you want, but I honestly think she’s not like her employers. She doesn’t actually develop, or code, or model, but she does communicate what we say and think to those that do. But its up to them to make those changes, and, as we all know, they haven’t. I think she is aware of the incompetence of Illfonic, a lot of clues line that up for me. But she is a model employee, and Illfonic pays her bills and feeds her cat, so she would never outright say anything negative. She will always be a team player and say what she can to put them over, which, is the right thing to do in her position. But she knows, and its sad because I can tell she wants to do more and wants us to be happy, but…it is what it is.

Maybe all it means it that they finally threw the towel and won’t release any more updates. They are finally done with the game.

Its possible, but, there’s still DLC Preds with full descriptions and new masks found in the last datamine. I believe Illfonic is still contractually obligated to release them, so they will likely be drip-fed throughout the rest of the year. Its possible that there will be more next year, to coincide with Prey, but that’s speculation.

OR, maybe, all of these comments about reading feedback and whatnot are legitimate, and they will be revamping major parts of the game for the next update. I highly doubt that, though. They’ll keep it afloat and drip the DLC because that’s the legal thing to do, but they won’t put in any more effort beyond that.

I think I read somewhere they actually have only one developer working on this game as of now. Possibly to try and push Ghostbusters to release without any delays.

Maybe once Ghostbusters gets released they’ll split the team again, but who knows.

You know, I’ve been thinking, what if the new Tank Pred, is the Prey movie Predator? Think about it, we haven’t seen it’s design yet

I’ve seen that happen, where one title will take a backseat but still somewhat supported until the next mainline title is done, then they will spread the devs amongst the titles. They are very likely 99% focused on GSU, because there’s an extreme amount of money and expectations from a lot of companies and people for that project right now.

It would be nice if they added that Predator and Amber Midthunder as FT only it’s the descendant of her character

At the very least they could hit some of the “big” balance issues, like:

Fireteam

  • Sawz50
  • 1011-12 (and Grimtech19 with macro)
  • Field Medic
  • Fireteam health boost stacking (-20% sprinting, -20% Support aura, -10% while mudded, etc.)
  • damage stacking (Scout post sprint with Duelist, Assault with Deadly and Bane, etc.)
  • “short missions” should either be deleted or joined to other “short missions” to create longer missions

Predator

  • Axe Heavy damage reduced to 87 plus bleed and light attacks slowed
  • Smart Disk should have a minimum turning radius that can’t be over ridden by sensitivity settings or DPI

These changes wouldn’t be hard to implement. Very simple and only like 8 changes would drastically improve balance. Not perfect, but at least no more cheese tactics.
