on a serious note, i find the evidence compelling that valkrie coul dhave had dual plasma casters but you know illfonic …Whether or not it could have been an easy implement? I dont know.
I mean…i don’t get if they did or didnot hire programmers to make animation adjustments or that it wasn’t a programers duty after all, it could just be visuals (that means that it could have been implimented), but then maybe the special effects of plasma shooting is a programmer’s job…

Bro that’s the only shot I did in that match, literally the only one and Pred activated the bomb after that,
when the summary came up it showed 86 dmg.

That would make sense. Were you far away? What type of predator was it? Did you hit the mask? Did you hip fire with Dutch 87? The predator might have had impenetrable.

For example.
Sawz50

  • starting damage 252

Say the predator was 50m away,

  • 228 Dmg from distance damage dropoff

Say the predator was an Elder.

  • 0.93 x 228 = 212 Dmg

Say the predator had impenetrable.

  • 0.8 x 212 = 169 Dmg

Say you hit the mask.

  • 0.75 x 169 = 127 Dmg

Second wind damage reduction

  • 0.5 x 127 = 63 Dmg

Extra damage from Bane.

  • 63 x 1.1 = 70 Dmg

Extra damage from Dutch 87 hip fire.

  • 70 x 1.1 = 77 Dmg

As you can see, there are many factors that can influence the damage of a single hit, but it’s easily possible to get 86 Dmg or less with the Sawz50 if the predator is in second wind.

I’ll say this straight up , I don’t teabag , I don’t believe it’s good sportsmanship on my part to do that . Secondly it goes against my team’s code and I would not ever disrespect or represent my team in an ugly manner .

It was Overgrowth, I was on the hill above yellow big base, Pred was behind the crashed chopper in mid air, 2nd winded. It was Elder.

I’m pretty sure I shot him in the back, not in the back of the head. After that shot he activated the bomb.

I didn’t hip fire, even if I did, he was too far away for a hip fire shot to land.

I did had Bane tho.

Does impenetrable gives damage reduction in the back also? In areas where there’s no armour?

I know for a fact that when Pred goes to lower HP, his dmg reduction goes higher, same for 2nd wind.

The point of my first post was to show certain somebody that SAW-Z doing 245 dmg minimum is not true. That damage can go alot lower, depending on certain factors.

Okay. About that, we certainly agree.

My point was that 86 Dmg was more of a special case, and since the predator was in second wind, and all predators have 800 health in second wind, 86 Dmg is functionally equal to about 172 damage (half damage, but also half health).

As far as the other factors you mentioned:

  • impenetrable is full body protection from bullet damage, and there are only 2 hit zones, head and body, the location of armor is cosmetic only
  • if you shot the predator in the back, they may have been using Ironside which is 25% global damage reduction to the back while moving, healing, claiming, etc
  • Dutch 87 only has extra hip fire damage, so with Bane only, it’s just a 10% damage increase

I only write all of this so players don’t get the impression that during normal gameplay they might only do 86 damage with the Sawz50. Most of the time, they’ll be doing about 200 - 250 damage per hit if they have damage buffs and the predator has damage mitigation, because the Sawz50 is used by most players in close quarters and long range.
