Traditionalist does not unlock in my case.

Over more than half a year, killed lots of full 4-men fireteams with wristblades only with or completely without claiming. No trees, no healing kits. Weapon never changed from wristblades.

Tradionalist does not unlock whatever reason. Should have unlocked it after achievements were made available.

So are there any other hidden conditions?

I will have a video fully explaining how to achieve the trophy, but what I did was basically keep downing them till you can either stealth kill them or you kill them upon striking. You can’t heal with pig or healing kit, your right about not using trees, but here’s the one that people miss. That being you have to use character classes from launch like Jungle Hunter, Hunter, Scout, and Berserker. However I’m not too sure if cloak or heat vision hinders or stops the achievement

  1. The date for achievements in the Epic version is bugged. It changes and shows wrong dates.

  2. Traditionalist in quick match is difficult. It is only realistically possible against beginners or if fireteam members are separated from each other. Going into melee with wrist blades can be considered to be suicide under normal circumstances.
    Another problem might be that many people tend to leave after being eliminated.

At least in earlier versions, it seems that healing and claiming were allowed.
If healing is not allowed anymore, it has become very difficult in quick matches, indeed.

Did you try getting “Tradionalist” with healing by either pigs or healing kits?

Tradionalist did not unlock under the conditions below (Epic version 2.22):

  1. quick play vs. 4 PS (crossplay)
  2. All 4 members of the fireteam were downed with wrist blades and, then, killed with wrist blades while downed.
  3. No claiming
  4. No healing by healing kits
  5. No healing by boars
  6. No trees
  7. Wristblades were equipped the whole time.
  8. Played as hunter class
  9. No leavers
  10. Leaps used
  11. Cloaking used
  12. Thermal view used
  13. Target isolation used

Has anybody recently unlocked tradionalist while using cloaking and thermal view?

I got the trophy in public matches. It was hard. Took me 3 days and finally with the Berserker Brute, I got the trophy.

You can heal and eat boars.
Don’t cloak.
Don’t use Thermal vision.
Stay out of tress (no climbing or running branches).

All of that is basically true, I have seen people get it with using cloak but never heat vision. Basically what I learned is that:
1.) No Cloak
2.) No Heat Vision or Target Isolation
3.) No Healing that includes pigs
4.) Only use starting classes not DLC (paid or free)
5.) No Trees or Branch play
6.) No switching weapons, only Wristblades
7.) Stealth Kills count as a Wristblade kill
8.) All Fireteam must stay till the end of the match or else it doesn’t register as a 4 team kill sweep. So for those who rage quit it’s basically impossible for Predator to get the trophy

Thanks for sharing the video. The match in the video was a close call. Fireteam was quite capable.
Going for large pouch seems to be a good idea if you are allowed to heal. If not, it is a waste, though.

I eliminated fireteams with wrist blades without cloaking and thermal vision but with healing by either boars or healing kits.

In contrast to the video,
Tradionalist did not unlock under the conditions below (Epic version 2.22):

  1. quick play vs. 2 PS and 2 Epic (crossplay)
  2. All 4 members of the fireteam were downed with wrist blades and, then, killed with wrist blades while downed.
  3. No claiming
    4./5. Healing by either healing kits or boars
  4. No trees
  5. Wristblades were equipped the whole time.
  6. Played as Berserker-Brute
  7. No leavers
  8. Leaps used
  9. No cloaking

  11. No target isolation

After finishing one of matches with the conditions above, I got a strange message “level up” and all of the 39 OWFL recordings were shown as new, again.
So, the achievement might be broken in my case.

You may seem to be right with the conditions.
Thus, it can be considered to be difficult in quick play without any healing.

Sadly, I used thermal vision and cloaking last time I eliminated a fireteam without healing.

Keep in mind that the achievement may still be broken so that it will not unlock even if fulfilling the conditions.

Since you are on Epic, too, what conditions did you fulfill exactly to get “Traditionalist”?

  1. Did you heal?

  2. Did you use cloaking or thermal vision?

  3. Did you claim?

  4. Which class did you use?

Explain was claiming done afer he was killed thouroughy all the way till he was unrevivable? (By that time claiming could still be legible), where as if you claim while he is down means that the trophy is unelegible.

That’s seems to be the key connection, only launch characters can unlock this trophy. Also you left out Jungle Hunter if you pre ordered the game.

Sadly, the conditions mentioned at the top of this thread do not ensure that “Tradionalist” is unlocked, neither do tips in similar posts.

You may be out of luck and the achievement is broken. Illfonic does not care, anyway.

Just like in case of other achievements like precision, private matches are the easiest way to go.

By the way, has anybody successfully unlocked Traditionalist recently by only using the combistick?
