Okay and why is my strategy flawed? Saving money at home so 1) I have money to back me up in case something goes wrong 2) gives me time to consider why it is I actually want to go into business wise and what it is I enjoy most.

Iâm saying your logic if flawed because of nepotism. Thatâs great you are going to school to learn a trade but that doesnât translate to being a business owner. If your parents are barely getting by with 5 rental properties then there is an issue with their business model. If your apprenticeship is not full-time, you need to get another job (Side hustle) so that way you are doing full-time work. I would suggest a commission based sales job if you want to be a business owner. Youâre going to need to learn how to build a book of business and high level communication skills with clients.
I donât have the time for now to do that sadly, as my apprenticeship is full time. Also goes against the company policy working in another job as I will do Tanker driving and u canât work so many hours when youâre a tanker driver due to tiredness and that stuff.
But Iâve also thought of once I get this qualification under my belt becoming a real estate agent as a guy knows someone who would be willing to take me on and salary would be around ÂŁ75k in the UK so whatever that is in the US

I use to sell clothing to Pacsun, Ross and Rue21. Then I helped start a solar company and we sold that one after two years. Now I do consulting, build homes and own another solar business.

It took 14yrs to build 18-32, I have a lot of nice shit and donât worry about bills. This is why Iâm telling you, your safety net and your plan all sound great but itâs not going to be easy or happen how you expect it to go. If you are single, your life should be 24/7 grind right now and I donât give one fuck how tired you are from your full time gig. Youâre going to need to put in more effort and work.
