2010 coping here. Most interesting plot of all the movies because safari, and the only one to get some other actors on board.
Predators lore > Predator 2 lore.

I also rank The Predator above AvP:R because that shitshow literally killed the franchise. And AvPR’s writing was just as bad as The Predator but without the bad comedy.
The only people who like AvP:R are Wolf shills & they consider his 5 min of screentime the only redeeming quality of the movie.
A pred fleeing to earth away from another pred in itself was not a bad plot but had the worst execution ever, that said AvP:R was equally nonsense in execution.

Shane Black is a hack but the lab scene is better choreographed than the entirety of AvP:R

yes the predator became unwatchable after fugitive died & we were left with a generic CGI monster but AvP:R was unwatchable as soon as they made you sit through the intro with the pizza delivery guy getting his car keys thrown in a sewer lifetime original bullshit. Following the cast of some teen drama with aliens in it was like some kind of bollywood/Sharknado film & the fight scenes are all absurd closeups and jump cuts in pure darkness to try to poorly mask the clunky suit choreography. It’s literally all chest high shots and limb shaky cam.
