My point is the predator should be fast enough that it can go far enough to heal if you keep running until it’s almost out
Why is ft as fast as the predator
The predator should not be fast enough to get away. He should need to use leap so the marines lose track of him. Predators should be punished for risky moves that put them into second wind. For instance, jumping in, killing one and claiming him as other shoot at him.
I’ve had to stop using slams because it’s usually while my weapon is in the ground that i get put in second wind. It says it stuns them but it really doesnt

Focus more on leaping than running and sometimes just pressing jump to get over a fence works too. And in some cases you can try to find a tree to use. If you get into second wind it’s harder but that’s kind of your fault then as the predator you’re supposed too get out of there before you get into second wind.
Should I understand from your post that you want to modify the predator to be close to the movies? Because that would be a HUGE nerf to the predator. Now, stop using this “but in the movies” logic as it has no relevance to gameplay and balance.
Sometimes it can’t be helped. I try to leap away and a ft member goes right in front of me then all forward motion stops and I bounce straight up. The if you had melee attacks at all before you no longer have the stamina to leap
