The thing I love the most about consoles is the innovative game play. Nintendo Wii for me was a game changer and it was really sad that it, along with the Playstation Move and Xbox kinect never really took off. It really provides an immersion not achievable on PC.

Now we have VR (I own an Oculus Quest 2) and it really brings something different to the table. But that technology is still on diapers. It is only now that you are able to play games on it wirelessly and without having to dedicate a whole room t for it with sensors in every corner. Processors and displays are now powerful enough to run games locally, with the added benefit of running games of a PC as well.

I would have loved if consoles drifted in that direction instead of trying to compete with performance against PC, because no matter what they do, they will never be on par or else their price will be too high for most people to consider buying them.

We don’t care about how fun the game is, or if it’s even optimized. All we care about is pushing the most frames per second. We pride ourselves in our hardware. TVs are for losers, real gamers play on high refresh rate monitors. Our graphics cards alone are more expensive than your consoles.

You say we’re angry, but in reality we’re just a bunch of assholes who like to brag about our rigs, and that’s because WE CAN!!!

I love how pc gamers forget true gaming started on consoles.
So of course true gamers would stick to consoles.

But let’s be honest with ourselves here,
Gaming went to shit about a good 6 maybe 7 years ago.

Barely any good games out there now.
So dont matter you play on when all devs really make now is shit.

Have you ever beaten any real games?

Like anything starting out on nes all the way to ps2.

A high refresh rate monitor is around $150, that’s a lot less than a 4k TV.

I’m sure most console gamers own a computer, laptop, tablet, etc…we have all-in-one. A console plus a computer for work or school would be around $1000. Why not just get a decent rig for that much? It’s not about money, it’s about performance.

…but you get what you pay for, no doubt about that.
