This is my post about things that while cool I don’t actually expect to be put in the game as there are other things to worry about.
A Desert map and I don’t mean sand dunes for days but more of a desert village and mountain type deal. Why in the hell would the devs put this in the game? The predator relies on heat vision so a hot desert wouldn’t work! And no trees means no Predkour, period! Well I think a hot map like the desert would change the meta up and be interesting as well as fun. Currently the Predator isn’t always in heat vision as it consumes energy so I don’t really think that’s a valid argument. They could even put in one of the many different vision types from the Predator multimedia into the game, I mean it’s not like they would just mix them all together right?
And just because their are no trees in the desert doesn’t mean building ruins can’t be used to Predkour and a desert oasis could have trees and brush.
Now I know this would be a lot of work and that’s why its here as a cool thought experiment.
The Arctic Whaling Station from AVP could also be an interesting map. It would give people a reason to use the Ping in Shit and Ice Cold builds more often.
I’m not gonna explain why there needs to be a Concrete Jungle map.
A prestige system that would allow players to continue to progress after hitting 100 and rewards COSMETICS like Predator trophies and Fireteam outfits. You could have the ranks/titles of the Yuatja (ie. Unblooded to Ancient). The best reason to add this mechanic is so that as the player goes through the prestiges there is something that makes the player want to spend the hours to unlock these exclusive items. Some suggestions include: the suit from the comic that came with the deluxe version of the game for the Fireteam, Predator equipment like the mask or netting for the Fireteam, Bad Blood skull trophy, basically any animal skull trophy small enough to fit on the hip, and even a see through mask for the Predator. I will restate that none of these should change gameplay.
I don’t know if this is just me be but I think a cool mechanic would be the Last Girl mechanic. I’ve wanted this ever since Friday the 13th. I mean Predator was a horror movie (@ me Mr. Sark and everyone else that has it in their heads that it’s an action movie) and Dutch was the Final Girl. So how it would work is basically a stealth fist fight no knife no wristblades, just fists. No hiding in the trees and the Predator takes off their mask. Oh it’d be so hype. The Fireteam could build traps (I think this should be a topic on it’s own) that slow or injure the predator. It would get the blood pumping and neck hairs raised. You know make the game resemble the movie more.
This game should have a statistics section where we can see various data. I want to know things such as, how many fireteam members I’ve killed as the Predator, how many times I’ve escaped as the fireteam, and more.
Skins for the Fireteam and Predator would be nice. While the most popular ones like Dutch and Dylan would be awesome they would also be potentially expensive. So I say get the lesser known Predator killers for the comics, books, and figurines. The characters from the comic book that came with the deluxe edition would do nicely. And that goes for the Predators as well I’d love to play as a “primative Predator” using a makeshift elder sword, war club, or combistick.
A rework of the gear system that includes weapon attachments as part of your gear score. This would allow for more types of builds. It also gives a chance to add more attachments and gears like a bayonet for quick easy meleeing, a laser sight that reduces hipfire or takes away the reticle and you have to use the laser, a heartbeat sensor for when the predator is not moving/crouching while clocked, or a thermal sight that limits FOV like a 10x only more like 3x or 4x zoom.
If I have anymore thoughts I’ll just edit this post.
