Like apply for the monetization thing and they will evaluate your channel to approve. After that you need to make a google adsense account, put address, banking account for deposit. I did mine in january of 2021 so I already forgot some of it.

You know I’m in collage right? I’ve been doing YouTube on the side while in collage getting a education and trying to get a major in game design or game creation. I hope to either be apart of a company that’ll actually make a good Predator Game or make my own company to bring the Predator / Yautja Fandom a game it deserves

I don’t use either, I use my yt account and my google adsense account that is linked to it. I manage it all through my computer, dont use apps.
I mean yeah, its been monetized since january of 2021. It increased through the year as I got more subs and views, in 2021 the peak months were when the game was free on the ps plus thing. This year on the last 2 months my gains there went 3x-4x more than usual cus I believe of the last update of phg + aliens fireteam elite coming around same time and me making videos of both + plus a funny video of mine went viral. My aliens fe videos managed to get a higher than average amount of views as well.
Youtube has its ups and downs due to the stupid algorithm, sure when new content is added for something you have more chance of getting more views of that as more people looking for the content. Like my video showing the Bone Feral Mask got 100k views. But sometimes its completely random, like a video of a longplay of AVP Requiem game of mine had like no views for 2 years then I got over 100k out of nowhere. Its random and sometimes can be motivating and demotivating, your views and thus your monetary gains can increase by 4x despite you doing nothing different, or the opposite can happen.
A lot about luck with the algorithm, similar with the tiktok account that I used to market my yt, some vids I get 300 views, some of them I got over a million. I have a phg video on tiktok that got me 2.5 million views, sure game is going nowhere but its possible to get lucky out of entertainment out of anything on the internet nowdays. I made my tiktok account march of 2022 and have 54k followers while my youtube is 4 years old and with 14k subs.
I get paid in dollars on yt, which has a lot of value in comparison to my currency here in Brazil. Its not that much but at least its doing something fun from home.
