Yeah, I totally agree with that. How can developers make it fun for average random FT, whilst keeping it relatively balanced for the pred fighting hyper skilled, coordinated FT. That’s tough. Companies like Blizzard cannot really figure that out totally. You go for the casual gamer. It keeps games alive.
Yes, FT was buffed. Doesn't offset the fact that rando FT are mostly potatoes
I don’t disagree that there are issues with the way that teams can be structured, but for me that has to do with the classes not being as balanced as they could be.
Running 4 Supports shouldn’t give you an advantage over a mixed team. Pre-made’s can min-max (work out the best teams and gear), but any 4 random classes should be about as good as any other 4, class shouldn’t impart such a glaring advantage.
This one might fix itself over time, not all the way but closer.
At least I hope it does.
I guess I’m more perplexed at how all weapons are available to all classes. I’ve said this for months that certain weapons should be class specific (snipers for Recons/Scouts for example), and that would be a way to begin to balance out squads…
I don’t have a perfect answer, all I know is the way it is at the moment isn’t the best way by a long shot.
the biggest step in the right direction are class specific loadouts
I keep saying they need to make preds stealthier. Get rid of spot, make cloak harder to see, get rid of the elephant stomping, and turn the day-glow bleeding way down. I get shot a few times and I’m spraying day-glow like a damn fire hose. Making preds stealthier would make them much harder to deal with.
When I play as ft, it’s way too easy to find, and keep spotting the preds. When I play pred, I’m constantly spotted and chased around, can’t stop moving for a second.
I’m fine with taking high damage as pred, but need to be able to reset fights more quickly than running to the other side of the map.
agreed
most of them times im 1vs1 the pred and my teammates which are within 5 feet just collect game currency and other weird shit
which i end up dying and leaving because i rage like a madman
I like the diversity of builds we can have without load out restrictions.
This games strength can be it’s flexibility. If anything I want more flexibility ie.
- Equipping a secondary weapon in the primary weapon slot. So you have 2 secondary’s. Making…
- Two Gun Mojo/Guns Akimbo, allowing the use of two of the same gun to be used at the same time.
- Modifications, more please. Laser sights, ammo types, flashlights, IR/thermal scopes.
Not every Scout or Recon wants to be a sniper, I want to build Poncho at some point. He’s likely a Scout with a grenade launcher, and SMG. Not a very practical build but fun.
Buffing the fireteam so they’re ridiculously overpowered was not the way to go about this. If you want these little noobs who can’t play games for shit to do well then give them a tutorial and force them to do it. Illfonic made a bad call with that update to try and help out potatoes.
Literal potatoes and they do tent to be the guys on PS most of the time. Just last game, had a PS guy shooting barrels randomly and not just to set them on flame, no, until they blew up, the first time he almost killed me. Its like red = must shoot NAW (arnold).
@GrimmReaper FT have the advantage, clearly but by no means are they “ridiculously overpowered”.
take him first and you are done
Yo ! Praise to you, the smartest thing I’ve read in the forums since patch 2.02
He could be doing that 250 barrels achievement
Try two scout on roof with sniper rifle. 5/6 shot and the predator his in first wind. Also when mud FT are more stealthy than any predator with cloak
You can do that and make sure nobody is around when you start blasting.
