That’s another cool route. Make the energy drain so heavy it can’t be used more than once or twice before over load as a way to balance out the damage. I like that.

Introduce a different caster or vision mode with lock-on. Tiny splash radius with higher damage to compensate since the projectile is smaller and unlikely to hit anyone strafing far, no charge, uses more energy. Player has to be tagged for lock-on, so it’s countered by mud.
An OP Pred is able to pick up guns from downed FT.
And give FT a smartgun (aliens) with insane stopping power up close and good enough damage at range so guys on PS potatoes can also put up a fight against the predator who is designed to stomp randoms on PS.
Then nobody needs to aim anymore.
