Yeah , I have mixed it up a bit with what they have called it . Is it subscription based ? No , but they said ā€œpost launch supportā€ . My point to that would be that you need to pay for online play on console , psplus so its not as simple as you have purchased it . You need a paid service to play it so I need a service to play this. As far as I know pc gaming is free online gaming ?

Is free on PC. Few games in PC require a subscription and those who do, the game itself is usually free.

I was lead to believe by one of my peers that you donā€™t need a PS+ subscription to play the game if you purchased it, though the website does say you need the PS+ subscription to play it. I donā€™t play on consoles so I canā€™t tell. If you do play on console, can you tell me if you can indeed play it online without PS+ or do you need a PS+ subscription to play this game online?

Yes you need ps plus to play this.

You dont need ps plus for singleplayer games.

I was surprised you didnt know. YEs you must have a PS+plus membership to run PHG on any playstation. I think this pours in a very motivated multiplayer gamer base and alot of them already have other games they probably play online. Epic game users however may not be motivated because the Epic Games multiplayer service is totally free.
But this doesnā€™t explain the level of skill for playstation players. It doesnā€™t explain the influx of potatoes but you can very well believe there are more than one family member on a console.

Yeah but if you are a apart of eithers rewards program which is free and gives you points for buying either Sony Products from sony direct or like me part if sony rewards credit card I havenā€™t paid for a ps plus subscription since I was old enough to sign up. At my current ps plus subscription is 10 years and 6 months. And I Havenā€™t bought anything that either wasnā€™t a necessity or a buy that is something for the console!

well sometimes people upgrade because they think they need to upgrade and when they do, thereā€™s usually little to no difference in most games.

Right now, for example, if you have a 1070 and play on a 60Hz 1080P monitor, thereā€™s really no need to upgrade to anything else.

But if you are like those ppl who change their phone every year because they canā€™t stand using something other than the best of the best, I get it.

Speaking of that, I imagine you already own a PS5, correct?

I do have a PS5, it was a Christmas gift from the wife I would not have approved had I known. I only just bought a base PS4 in 2019. Iā€™m a terrible example. I simply donā€™t like spending money

I personally never like that model. If I own something, I own it. Fuck that monthly shit. Everything is moving to subscription based now and it fucking sucks. I just hope Microsoft doesnā€™t start that shit with Windows cuz they moment they do, I will move on to Linux and try to play everything I can through Proton
