1.06 is a Skill Patch

To all of those whom may be maining FT and calling the Predator OP…

Honestly, you are probably the type of FT to try to go Hunt the Predator and get mad when you die.

The point of being a fireTEAM is to stick together and coordinate as a team and survive/defend against the Predator. Not go killing him.

Git guhd. Your skills and strat are getting exposed. You can’t run and gun the predator mindlessly no more. This is hilariously satisfying to see so many uncoordinated headless chickens exposed.

P.S: Real good Fireteams has wrecked me because they were so coordinated and smart. Git guhd

Honestly I felt the same way before this patch. But yeah, changes have been made with this patch, however I’m still seeing both sides win.

I am noticing some new Predator strategies though, thank God. Same with FT. You can’t just do the same thing every time, you gotta mix it up, lol.

SERIOUSLY!

I hate Zerker meta from the previous patch but this patch adds so much more strat to it. Still needs some patches but it’s way better than the Bullet Sponge Predator before.

The amount of players that want to do heinous damage from afar and with minimal effort is lol to me. Oh you just wanna cloak and use projectiles for an easy win? Ah, okay.

I feel like the Predator meta is better when they’re pushing you to use all the Predator’s abilities and weapons. I mean, come on, you have all this stuff at your disposal. Why just want to stick to one or two things?

Skills patch? Good thing I was not drinking when I read that

You know how you counter that? By not constantly standing out in the open like an idiot and always being on the move to make it more difficult. Or do you believe the Predator’s ranged weapons all have lock on features and that hitting a moving target with a slow to fast projectile takes less skill than hitting a target with no bullet travel?

Exactly, but tell that to a lot of Predator mains, lol. I’ve seen so many just sit in a spot and unleash everything. Then when they move they hardly move. So of course you’re going to get spotted by FT. Then that Predator player will say Predators are too weak and FT is too OP, lol.

People just need to use more strategy period is all. Predators should really go in and out, and mix it up.

Different strokes for different folks.

Speaking to a Predator main here, or well used to be I guess but now that Fireteam is actually fun to play now I do play a lot of that as well. Still play a lot of Predator though but more evenly split.

Honestly the Fireteam was stupid OP before, most notably of the nigh endless supply of health and ammo and then effectively unstoppable reinforcements. However now the problem is that since the Fireteam isn’t as strong against Predator that they could just hunt him the whole game they largely focus objective, which is fine with me except it has quite highlighted how easy and quick the missions are to complete even with a Predator hit and running or popping shots from afar with respectable accuracy.

I had a match as a Fireteam where the Predator was tearing a new asshole repeatedly and just ruining our entire lives and we still finished the mission with like five minutes to spare with fairly little obstruction. Now that is of course a skill issue to some extent but this was Predator was a fucking beast which also has also made me reconsider the effectiveness of the smart disc because he was freak nasty with that thing to such a degree I’d never even considered.

But my point orignally was that taking shots from afar isn’t a bad idea to do. If you can weaken the Fireteam, force them to use some health and maybe get a down and bait a revive to get a second down from afar before you rush in and ‘Finish him!’ and so on that’s not a bad way to go. Now it’s up to the Fireteam if you can get that opening or not but if even a good Fireteam slips for a second that can be enough, from range, to make a huge difference and such. Hell just something as simple as hitting a guy with one arrow and then using a full charge PC shot to take him down ain’t nothin’ to scoff at. Guerrilla warfare isn’t just hit and runs.
