1.) How an Ft knife can take away 20% of a Preds health in 1 hit. 20. Friggin. Precent. In 1 hit. The other day, I played against a pretty good FT and some youngster, likely in his early 20s based on his voice and attitude alone, (name was OG-something ot other) came directly at me and in 4 hits had me to 20% health. I did some quick healing and determined that he must have a lightsaber to do that kinda damage. What perks combined with what specializations stack for that combo?
I was going to ask him after the match, but even though I won, he got mouthy about the amount of damage he did, so I didn’t get to ask. Anyone know the secret sauce for that kind of butter?
2.) This is an opinion query. If a Predator claims at least one Ft, meaning 1 Ft is dead and gone by the end of the match (either FT didn’t get to reinforce, or they did and Pred got one more kill after that), if the timer runs out and FT doesn’t exfil, the Pred gets the win cinematic.
What does this mean to you as a player? How do you interpret it?
To me, as either a Pred or Ft, it means the Ft failed. It means they (or we, if Im Ft) failed in their mission, failed to kill the Predator, and eventually, based upon the Predator win cinematic, ran out of ammo and were left in the jungle to die either at the hands of the Predator or the natural dangers of the jungle. Either way, the Ft loses.
I ask because that’s what that means to me, but the young gentleman mentioned above seems to believe that FT wins because he was still alive when the timer expired and was quite convinced of it. Incanndefi5see his POV, seeing as I didn’t kill him, but the games mechanics are set up to make those circumstances an Ft loss.
I dont think there’s anything necessarily wrong/mistaken with that POV either. If one wants to get really deep into the nerd-pool, one could surmise that perhaps the survivors escaped on foot, or hot wired a stargazer jeep, etc. The “Fireteam Eliminated” screen, to me, puts the kibosh on that, but what do you all think?
