I mean I know several people who have it/caught it myself included. Some of my coworkers lost their family members to it. My brother’s a nurse and has to take care of several Covid patients a lot of whom have died. How can you say it’s a bullshit virus just because it hasn’t affected you?
I wasn’t saying it’s bs, but until recently I didn’t know anyone who had it. My cousin had it about 2 month ago, a coworker about a week ago, and coworkers’ families some time ago. But until then I did find it strange that people i knew where not affected.
Not saying you said that. I understand that for most people even if they get it that it’ll be fine and that it really won’t affect them and they shouldn’t let fear control their lives. What pisses me off are those that think it’s all bullshit but haven’t been affected by it at all and dare tout statistics as if all the all the people that died by it don’t matter because the flu killed a fraction of that in a year.

What were your symptoms? What’s stopping you from assuming that these people were just affected by the common flu or another ailment. Also, how many of the people that died had a pre existing medical condition?
The symptoms for Corona are so broad and ambiguous that it could overlap with symptoms of other types of medical problems.
Not sure how that matters, if they would have survived if they never contracted it, then it’s responsible, preexisting condition or not.

Yes, they help you control the amount of virus you put out into the world, which in turn decreases the likelihood of it spreading. It’s a way to control the virus.

Not all conspiracy theorist’s, I love most of the Kennedy guys, they don’t get all angry and start calling people slaves. They just ramble about a magic bullet and missing films.
The conspiracy theory mindset, while being dumb as fuck (though believers always see themselves as smart ‘truth seekers’) is pretty fascinating. I’ve read a lot about the psychology of what makes people buy into these wacky fringe beliefs, and it’s usually based around a sense of powerlessness and confusion with the complexities of the world. They need a simple ‘good vs evil’ narrative rather than the more mundane and complicated shades of grey reality.
The Rothschild bullshit has been going on for years despite being comprehensively being debunked numerous times, but then facts don’t matter to these people - many have a dogmatic, cult-like devotion to their beliefs - just take a look at the Qannon crowd as an example (that’s some serious bat-shit crazy which will likely lead to domestic terrorism problems for the US in the next few years).
