4x Field Medics camping in building from the start of the game?...

…WTF is going on with people playing like this? Just played on Backwater and the FT (all with Field Medic specialisation) went to the smaller, corner base and set up camp in the large building. They just sat in there the whole match, apart from poking their heads out every now and then to try and take pot shots and lure me in.

There was no way I was going inside so I spent the match throwing plasma through the doorways and roof - obviously they just soaked up all the damage I was inflicting. Time is just about to run out and they all quit!

I had that happen a couple of days ago on the same god forsaken map except it was 3 FM and one overseer all support and at the radar dish camp. On their way there I killed the overseer and one FM, the other two hid in the building. After 8:00 minutes just downing them I ended up killing one. The last guy ran and I downed him but for wasting my time and their teammates time I just long claimed him, then dropped him, and just rinsed and repeated a few times.

They spawned near the actual base, and they were already hunkered down in it by the time I found them.

Pred goes all caster.

I was spamming plasma, but they were keeping clear of walls - this was a squad - they had the sensor beacons out as well so I was spotted as soon as I got near the building.

Was it the building/compound near the satellite dish?

No - smaller corner base - large building with glass roof panels

Don’t recall - didn’t see much of them as they were inside or shooting from doorways for the vast majority of the match. One would occasionally run out around the building and back into another door in the hope I would chase them inside, and at one point one of them got on the roof for a bit, but quickly went back inside when the plasma started hitting.

Just a really pathetic way to play. They had no interest in the mission - they were just going to camp in the building with their seemingly infinite health top ups, and try and lure me inside.

Yeah I had a pre-made four team support with field medic, and they were wearing those colors. Field medic is the reason I play recon.

They all quit just before the timer ran out, and I had the ‘Prey Escaped’ screen come up?! (with the empty jungle scene and low-key music). Even if it had given me the proper win, it’s was a shitty boring game to play.

Then perhaps they should change the cinematic to show you winning. If the predator leaves in a game, I get nothing as FT since I instantly quit just as well.

Now if you think that is boring, imagine a predator that does not engages the entire game and runs away if you get close (don’t ask me why). Its just as boring and nothing you can do about it. People will play as they see fit for whatever reasons. I find staying in houses insanely boring but to each his own.

Yes, people getting bored and doing different things will happen, how often does it happen to you? I bet not often, just enjoy when it does not happen.

It’s kinda messed up that if the pred leaves during the match, the body remains in the game, you can find it, kill it. It’s a win for FT.

But if the FT leaves, the bodies disappear from the match.
