That would be a step too far. (The mode thing. Convo moved on while I was typing, lol.)
Selling a second version of Dutch is fine, people will vote with their money as to whether they want new skins/classes or new stuff.
Personally I want new stuff, I bought Dutch 2025 too play with his toys early, even though I rarely run the skin. I’m pretty sure I’ll pass on Dutch87, his gun being a second Hammerhead doesn’t do it for me. I like the wrist blade knife ie. Dutch’s Knife but this Dutch doesn’t even get a new knife, just tints.
I’m not particularly upset with illfonic, these are hard times but I do think who’ve is making their choices, needs to have a better understanding of the genre and how to release a schedule so you don’t look like amateurs.
There needs to be a rhyme and reason to the things we get. It should be simple in a year to see why we got things when we got them.
Extra content whether that be elite skins, weapon modifications, classes or characters have to be ready to fill gaps in production of harder content.
Instead it looks like they’re plugging holes with things meant to be on a schedule. Alpha seemed to drop early, level cap seemed rushed and like they don’t have a plan to keep grind satisfying, August paid dlc, moved without a word to the community about why. There are other examples but I’m not trying to be an ass, just pointing out the obviousness on display.
