A different topic, just a change of pace on the forums.

Time fucking flies.
I swear when I was a kid an hour felt like an hour.

Now a days an hour feels like 10 minutes.

Like idk how many of you feel time flies by as well,
But its just crazy. I’ve been noticing it a lot lately.

  • Yeah time flies by
  • Time flows neither too fast or slow
  • Time goes by extremely slowly for me

Yeah. That’s why pulling 9-10 hour shifts without breaks doesn’t even bother me.

I might be a workaholic.

Indeed. Helps that my job is mentally engaging being that it is in the lab so I’m never really bored.

It must be done Fire. You know it as well as I do. It is my responsibility to make the Resident Evil series based on a true story.

But like other stuff you just realize. Like damn. Going on a 3 hour fishing trip used to feel like an eternity as a kid, but now I just pack up my stuff go, and then I’m just like, where the hell did my time go???

I only caught one fish and that fucker had a knife and robbed me!

Yeah today was just a fucking blur for me lmao.

Same here. I woke up, took care of stuff around the house, set up and lit off fireworks, and now I’m here. What happened to my time? Am I stuck in some form of temporal anomaly?

I know I don’t talk about it but I am pretty creative, and part of my muse is certain music pieces (at this point I might as well speak in an Exaggerated tone like an AAAARTist) and hours will pass by while thinking on things in what feels like half an hour.

Do you make music?

No I just use as a muse

Though I am getting back into guitar so

Nice

I think @Derangedxeno_02 is correct. Time is a measure of change and its rate of passage is somewhat constant. Under relatively same conditions, that rate if passage is the same. If energy is put in the system, change occurs faster so passage of time seems faster. To a human mind, being focus or preoccupied with a task makes it seem like time passes faster because we don’t psy attention to time passing, and vice versa. To a young and busy person time passes seems fast, but to an older person who’s not as busy it may seem slow.

I think it’s the opposite. I genuinely believe our perception of time speeds up as we get older.

You could be correct. I don’t quite remember what the reasoning is. It has something to do with processing of information. I guess information is new, it takes longer to process so passage of time seems slower. When older, bit too many things surprise us any more or we just don’t care for it, and passage of time seems slower. Similar like in sports when you get used to the game, it’s like time slows down for you.

Perhaps if we are stuck in same routine passage if time seems faster too
