A few tweak and balancing ideas

Hi Illfonic,

First of all: great game! I’m a grown man feeling like a playful child with this game, so thank you for taking up the challenge of making it!

I’ve been reading a lot on the forums and on Twitter…

Like all other I have some ideas, so here are some of my first modest contributions.

Predator vision:
Currently thermal vision uses energy. Hunting by seeing heat is the Predator’s natural state.
How about switching it around so human/non-thermal vision takes energy, or switching vision modes consumes energy? It would correspond well with the advantage of the solider using mud to cloak themselves from the Predator making it more of a must and at same time adding to the overall Predator feeling.

Support class, Fire Team
Do you plan on adding more gear options? Currently is is not possible to use up the points for perks for the support class.

Predator strong/weak?
This seems to be on many players mind (judging from the comments in here and on Twitter).
The Scout Class for the Predator needs some more advantages to make it worth considering. I only run into Hunters and Beserkers when playing Fire Team, and I honestly prefer not use the class myself unless challenged by friends to use it… It would be great to see this class shine too. I have yet to run into a gamer on YouTube favouring this class.

What factor do you take into account regarding platform (PC vs. PS4) when balancing?
Most pro shooters I know of play on PC. A lot of the footage I’ve seen people discuss is based on PC gameplay…

Please make the Hand Held Plasma caster a bit more useful. It’s nice to look at, but currently it’s just eye candy. :-)

Considering how long down the line you get the bow it should be more dangerous. It that means damage, functionality or something third… Being a weapon that is opened up late it should pack some more usefulness.

The dear Predator is still noisy. His overall advantage is supposed to be stealth and currently a decent Fire Team can easily spot and track you making the Predator the hunted.
The spotting function still needs to get a slap on wrist… :-)

Other
I’ve read suggestions like making friendly fire more of a thing which sounds great in the sense of mindless trigger happiness and balancing out the consequences in the close encounters between Predator and Fire Team.

I’m not going to write about the match making as you guys must be bleeding from your eyes and ears from the feedback you’ve already got on that… ;-)
