A lot of people don't seem to like being hunted as much as they think they would

Just to preface my thoughts regarding the title.

The great majority of my matches are a mix between average and pretty good FTs, but nothing that actually makes me feel worried. With this being the case(most of the time) I like to drag out the matches a bit by taking out 3/4 FT members quickly and allowing the last one to reinforce. This lets the match play out a little longer and FT gets a second shot to take me down so I figure everybody should be happy. After the reinforce I try very hard to take down each FT one at a time rather than just do another team wipe quickly as a way of building pressure on the survivors.

Their reinforcements are gone and FT members are being slowly picked off one at a time. The pressure builds up on the remaining survivors, has the horror aspect of the game begun to sink in yet? A little bit of mimicry here, a few pot shots there, all to really try and make the last few survivors feel helpless. The last 1 or 2 remaining members are boxed in and hunkered down. They’re low on supplies because this battle of attrition has not been in their favor the entire match. They’re thinking, where’s the predator? They can’t trust their ears because of the sound decoys surrounding them. Then they begin to hear the sound of what they can only imagine is a sexual tyrannosaurus barreling towards them aaaaaaaand they quit.

I have to sort of agree. I purposely do not rush the FT at the start. Based on where I spawn and they spawn, I try to guess at which camp their objective is at, and I run there. I try and motion detect it up, set off alarms, pre-kill piggies, etc.

I play the worst class for a frontal assault (Scout) so instead I harass, wear them down with the bow, plasma, and slam before even attempting to take any out.

It is disappointing to see the FT then just rush everywhere and leave via chopper within 6-7 minutes or start quitting the game after they have been downed the second time.

I am not sure what to do at this point to try and help make the match more fun for the five of us. Maybe I will spend a night just following them and not engaging unless fired upon first. Or I may just jump on the zerker bandwagon and start being a jerk at 30 seconds in. I don’t know, but it is frustrating.

Tonight I have also been riddled with bugs (stuck on tiny terrain features, no stamina regen, cannot feed/claim, etc.) so there is a chance I am being a bit of a drama queen as well.

Its all fun and yeehaws till you use reinforcements and realize this isn’t a 5 minute mission and you have trek to more than one base and the Pred isn’t in a rush.

I have changed my play style to make this more fun for the potato FTs all over this community. Instead of directly running at the FTs at the start, I visit every objective on the map and throw a motion sensor in the central building. If I see the FTs on the objective, I just keep going to the next one. After all objectives are tagged, I then go back to the FTs and harass the hell out of them to keep them hunkered down on the objective, once a decent amount of time has passed, I stop my attacks and then just follow them to the next objective, maybe giving more harassment, or picking one off. If I take 3, I always let them reinforce. Then continue the hunt. This tends to draw the game out and keep them from rushing objectives. I played ranged hunter 95% of the time to take a little more damage, the other 5% I play scout, and never play Berserker. Haven’t played Berserker since I realized how unsatisfying it is to bring a tank to a knife fight.

I hear you, and well the issue we are discussing is after all of that “work” on the Predator’s side. E.g. we try and check all the boxes/avoid all the rage triggers/never touch anyone inappropriately, and folks still just just flat out quit the match.

Unfortunately a lot of the kids in this generation are whiny babies who don’t finish what they start. I lose my shit on the “kids” who work for me almost everyday because a, they do a half assed job, or b, whine the whole time like they are so abused and no one before them has ever had to work as hard as them.

That’s hilarious. I remember we fired an intern once just because they were basically not showing up, showing up late, never calling in, etc. His mother called in the next day to give the supervisor a piece of her mind. The intern was a college student, if that was not clear.

I watch my boss pick up the phone and it went something like:

Supervisor: "Hell-o, this is "
Mother: “Yes this is , <you know who’s mother>”
Supervisor: “Oh… really?” click

The supervisor just hung up on her. I have never had more respect for a supervisor than in that moment.

Lol, One of my soldiers mothers called me and told me to be nice to her son, I told her the army wasn’t the fucking boy scouts and Al Qaeda won’t give a shit how much he cries while they cut his head off on CNN, she never called me again.

in der tat, I imagine not!

Anyhow thanks for the ad-hoc therapy session. I must have found a snickers inside that last pig because I am having fun again, and still doing my best to have respect for the other 4 people in the match. @Rainzx, @Drakos

Yeah man, I love this game, sure it has bugs, but I still can’t put it down, only thing I’ve played since the 24th got close to 300 hours in it.

This is what preds should be like and not one complaint here about parry, there are a ton of not finish anything kids on this game who whine to illfonic every time they loose to anything calling bullshit when it was likely they’re own stupid fault

I’ve been level 100 since day three after launch, I haven’t died as Pred since level 62, if my tactic doesn’t work, I get out of the AO and rethink my strategy and reengage. I don’t win every match, but I’ll be damned if I throw my life away trying to force a move. This is chess not button mash mayhem. Not the devs fault some preds have no patience or skill and die easily.

This game is all about picking your moments to strike.

I think if you face normal FT you will be marked and forced to runs with heavy sniper rifle. Thought it won’t happen very often, cause some players don’t even pick perks for thier characters. I don’t even saying about FT to make one of members to check enviroments while other 3 doing missions.

I eat snipers for breakfast. Them and supports are the first to die. If it’s a good fireteam, you just have to play carefully and wear them down and strike when you get the opportunity, otherwise you waving bye bye at the chopper.

Well if you know how things works - you need to find them first. Most time you finding then when you get lv.4 shot into face. Good scout Will find you. Main problem about Predator being op it’s predator is alone but FT consist from 4 members. It’s not really easy to get proper sunergy with random ppl. I don’t think that’s predator have big chances aganist experienced 4x premade.

I haven’t lost in a week as a hunter, I rush the ft with a arrow and slam combo until the team is wiped. I don’t let them reinforce if I can help it, most of my matches are about 3-4 minutes.

When I play ft it’s usually with randoms. I win most of those matches. I constantly spot & stalk the predator. Berserkers haven’t been a issue for me since I’ve learned to parry and chase with a knife. I ignore objectives and only focus on killing the predator but make sure to stay near my team.
