Illfonic has all the statistics of the players. The problem is that most of people dont defuse the bomb because they dont want to waste time or they dont know how to do it efficently. As Predator no one let them escape, most of players kill them all and go for the next game. It might be possible that Illfonic got all the lose as Fireteam because if the Predator blows up is not counted as a win for fireteam. So basically they base the balance patches on the win rate of people. And they dont understand that Premades or good players in general win 99,999999% of their games even in solo as Fireteam. So they see Pred players have decent win rate, but not the same for Fireteam players becasue most of them dont defuse the bomb. That could be a possible reason why they are keep buffing the fireteam and make the game more unplayable patch over patch. The other reason could be that they want the game to die to save money and dont pay server for years.

Yes of course they see the stats that show who basically is winning the most matches, completing the self-destruct…understanding that pre-mades or parties are more inclined to winning…etc.etc…however even if that were true, we don’t know their plans for these particulars or why.

and like you said, this could be why we got the new buffs or specializations.

There is no doubt they are doing this to make games more efficient and fun so that they could make the most out of their investments on server technology in the years to come.

I literally remember watching launch week streams of this game of pre mades having 100+ win streaks

And back in July my premade only lost 2 games out of 81 matches or some shit

With Dice and our clan mates we have never lost one game in like 3 months playing daily. And it was many patches ago , now none of my clan mates are still playing because the game is a joke. Dice came back some days ago, he started the stream, he did only one game and after killing the Pred in the first push he closed the game and went stream Rogue Company. 😂

While I agree with you , the only 2 admins are Courier and OldkingHamlet. They might dont share all of our feedbacks. Looking at the result , it might be a reason.

I’ve played this game in every way possible. The game is still easy when I play in solo. Videos I posted are a proof. From my experience the Fireteam after 2.0 became excessively broken. There are many videos proving that. The game right now is ultra boring because you cant play private, you cant play Predator and fireteam is too easy.

to each his own… i still find it engaging. You however made videos… can’t say ill do that…
So long as i don’t make a fuss over the current state, i’ll feel the next patch will make up for it. Kind of like a relationship. I don’t want to set anything into stone.

The main problem is that Illfonic seems to work after Lean/Agile Principles.

IMHO Illfonic should just hire a UX Designer who cares about such things like Customer Feedback and analyzing such data like mentioned above.

This game was released as a so-called “Minimum Viable Product” to quickly generate revenue while growing over time.
But to create a successful Product in that way you constantly need to use User-Feedback, analyze, iterate solutions and conduct User-Testing, which is clearly not being done as much as needed, if done at all.
A clear indicator that they don’t have a dedicated person for this are basic issues like the unlabeled Specialization Button for example, or like we all know: releasing bugged patches.

This is the big danger of Agile/Lean Development methods if they are not done in the right way and we all witness the results.

Yes it’s enstablished now that devs dont play their own game. They only play once per month and ONLY PRIVATE. This is the main issue. They dont play Predator and they dont play pubs. They cant, even if they played Predator, they still could not balance the game properly if they dont experiment public matches.

I think this is a pretty valid point.
In fact, if you look at the delivery of many players, many of them have the wrong victory conditions.

They wouldn’t even need to test it by themselves.
It is always better to let others test your Product.
They could even get it done for free…

There are plenty of players that would gladly sign up for testing their patches for free. Why dont they take advantage of this?
