A reminder on win conditions

As FT: if you don’t complete the mission, the time runs out and at least one player has been claimed by pred, game is a loss.

In fact, the screen says " Fireteam eliminated"

Just a reminder :P

Lately I’ve seen a lot of premade PSN teams say " we win" in those conditions

Lol

Even if no one is claimed

I got told once that because I let two people bleed out to kill the last guy that ran to reinforce everyone that I “technically” didn’t win since I didn’t claim all 4. Due to the bleed out it only registered two kills out of four even though I downed all 4. He was dead set on that too.

No, if no one has a player kill on either side and the timer expires, no exfil, no claims, no one wins. It’s a draw.

Good reminder. I have bumped more than once on a premade that thinks having the last guy hide in mud on the caves on Excavation until times runs out is considered a win lol.

Gameplay wise the timer is the Pred equivalent of the OBJ

Lore wise it’s the same as the claim and time out

I think a lot of people confuse moral victory for actual victory in an effort to justify their short comings.

Video on Reddit of a guy who glitched under the map and was castered to death laughing say “Ah ha you couldn’t claim me…” as if it matters

Fun reminder, as absurd as it may seem, as much as you hate it, if you kill the pred and you don’t secure the body, is not a win for FT either

I believe that if you dont claim, you don’t get the kill. Not sure though, but I’ve finished matches in a draw because I killed a few of them but didn’t claim any and the timer ran out

I learned my lesson and now I always make sure to go back to at least one of the dead bodies and claim it

This is known as ‘Voodoo Boy’ syndrome, and affects players who have high salt levels and low IQs.

So true. Never seen so much salt like in PSN lobbies

There used to be a Pc premade with the same mindset but most of that group stopped playing.

Win conditions are all over the place. If the pred detonates it counts as a pred win. Makes no sense. In my head canon it’s a draw if the blast kills the full FT and an FT win if any of them survive. No way should a pred be classed as a winner for getting melted, jumping on a roof and pushing a button.

I believe this counts as a draw. Pred win/lose is determined by the animation at the end

Pred wins/FT lose = skull animation
Pred loses/FT win = Helicopter escaping or FT securing the body
Draw = Explosion or camera moving in the horizon

There is, or at least was, a screen somewhere in the options menu stating that a detonation is a pred win.

Pred goes Boom = Draw

One ft die rest hide till timer expires = Pred win

Ft get in chopper = Ft win

Ft kill poor Pred = Ft Win

Pred kill all FT = pred win

Pred kill no one mission timer zero = draw

That’s what I consider it, but I think game does call this Pred “win”.

I’d call this a draw too, but the game counts it as a FT win

Does it its the only other cutscene that does not have a a little title before.

Like Fireteam escape or ft eliminated. Thats why I call them a draw. It does say either of those things before thr cutscenes
