About the Alpha Sickle

So, I wanted to hear some thoughts about the Alpha Sickle. Is it worth using over any other melee weapon after it got nerfed? Been playing with it for the first time today, and havent been impressed with its damage, seems inferior to the Elder Sword. Its range and damage are very similar to the Wrist Blade imo. Im having a hard time to justify its use over Elder Sword, katana or Combistick.

What do you guys think about the Alpha Sickle? Does anyone have the numbers to compare its damage to the other melee weapons?

Yeah they nerfed it hardcore and the range and the speed of the sickle is not great to want use it as a main weapon. If it had some kind of effect to the ft while being hit by it like it slows you down or the flash from the war club then it may be viable. Its takes almost 2 full combos to down an assault so yeah not worth it in my opinion

Can’t really tell quz I’m on PC, so today is the first day I’ve actually had a chance to “work” with it, but a lot of PS4 players are complaining it’s not what it used to be. I can imagine katana will meet a similar fate.

The problem is that is has absolutely nothing unique to it. The average 3 hit combo with new animations and sounds, thats it. No reason to pick it over the wristblades

it is in fact obj worse than the elder sword it’s 4 hit combo with fearless does about 130 damage which is just worse than eldersword which 4 hits do 160 with fearless

At this rate, I use all weapons regardless of strengths or weaknesses for fun. This way, my gameplay experience is more refreshing in terms of animation and variety.

Essentially the elder sword is harder to stop because it’s fast, before the sickle got nerfed it was worth using but now it’s no better than the katana or wrist blades.

Only reason to bring the sickle is the stealth kill.

In fact if stealth kills were less buggy and more reliable, I’d say that’s the only justification you need.

Yes sickle does have the fastest stealth kill but also hits hard and quick it’s just easier to stop with a butter knife
