While running my usual Veritanuim Farms earlier today, I figured I’d practice traversing Overgrowth while working on my Combi-Stick Quick Toss skills as my Scout. After messing around and blowing up a few Barrels to take Damage, I thought huh, I wonder if I can Damage my Bio-Mask enough to pop it off.
I do hope we get the Option one Day.
So I make it over to the Stargazer Outpost near the two tiered Temple and face a wall as close as I can (to the point where I’m slightly Clipping through). So I make sure the Reticule is at my Scout’s Eye Level. I Charge my Plasma Caster up. And then I notice a couple of things.
First, I learned that the Reticule isn’t 100% accurate and will actually reflect/bounce off of the Wall. I had one shot bounce to my Left, and another to my Right. But the most interesting find??
A few Shots actually went through the Wall and destroyed one of those random Medkits across the Room (it was one of those smaller, Square shaped Rooms I nudged up against).
While it’s possible to shoot your Plasma Caster through a Wall, the setup to get it to work is lengthy, thus being totally ineffective when facing an actual Fireteam. My main point here is that Illfonic should take a deeper look at Collison/Hitboxes for our awesome Yautjas. I’m sure others have found other exploits that make this one irrelevant even though this is certainly worth mentioning.
