Addressing an actual problem that’s not whining about balance

They’ll wait out the clock in hopes that you’ll quit

huh?

Seriously, this is an issue?
Let em hide. So far I’ve had 2 matches where this happened. I wasnt really mad for them hiding, I was actually a bit impressed they could hide from me.

I think both times it happened they didnt have enough time to finish their mission. But I just thought if it as an intense game of hide and go seek.

I see some people here agree with you. But I dont.
If your playing pred, you still win, so nothing loss.

The reason I’m not against this, is because at least it changes things up.

i disagree i’d say no one loses but not losing doesnt mean you win, sometimes it means you simply werent playing to begin with. cant lose a game if you dont play. but you also cant win it either.

I played “Derailed” 3 times in a row, the map is my least favorite for one but I see what they were going for, and all 3 matches for some reason, these knuckle head Fireteam soldier want to hide in the warehouse with the stairs, like, that’s not gonna save you buddy, the A.I. and me are going to whittle you down and you will eventually fun out of ammo bags and medikits.

Just stop!

I meant win as you dont lose rewards, or the game counting it as a win for pred. Whether you count that as a win or loss is different for everybody.

Another thing, for those 2 matches, I’m pretty sure they had already reinforced. Cant remember. But I know there was only like 5 minutes on the clock.

I love derailed. Good map for plasma cannon.
I feel theres not too many good spots for it on other maps.
Idk maybe I just like open fields, and the trainyard is pretty open.

i guess by that logic yes that counts as a win but i dont i count it as a waste of time nothing happened

Oh I didnt count it as a win for me. If anything they won. Usually ppl cant hide or get away from me. So when it happens it’s kinda cool.

But I’m not obsessed with winning. Hell if the ft is cool, and theres only 1 or 2 left, il help them complete the mission.
But I win most my games, even when its teams with multiple supports. :D

Yeah dude. Super annoying and also like. Childish, cmon man just fight so we can get it over with.

Ok you say people can’t hide from you, but if it hits the fan and someone just sprints off you wipe there team they just sit in a Bush mud up over and over, how do you find them? Blind luck?

Changes things up? You sit and wait for 10 minutes for the clock to run out? Holding games hostage not only is an issue, it’s one of the only legitimate issues any of the whining baboons on this forum has actually brought up. Lol balance is subjective mostly, people disliking something here or there the other side did to them and they wanna complain. But things that in every game are banned offenses are, cheating, exploiting, and holding games hostage. If you take advantage of a feature in the game, and misuse it to effectively just make the other player have to wait out the entirety of the clock, that’s called taking a game hostage. Yes. Yes this is an issue

Also yeah btw it takes waaaaay more hours than 200 to begin to get ok at DBD cause it’s designed for survivors to be able to troll you lol

Ok. It doesn’t bother me cause I tend to be patient in cases like those. While I hate campers, I love to see ppl who can go completely unseen or undetected, with out exploits or hacks. I respect that cause it’s not easy to do with other players.

Them using mud that way, I dont consider an exploit.

But while I dont have a problem with it, I realize there are people out there that if they cant get to their target or theres no combat, lose their minds and get pissed off beyond all hell, or get bored cause they dont like looking for ppl.

I only said all that so you can see why I dont mind it, and where I’m coming from.

But, I wanna know, what would be a good way to implement something to stop this from happening? Because I think a punishment is extremely unfair.

I think some in game mechanic would be better, but something that kicks in automatically at a certain time on the clock sounds unfair to the ft.

So what would be a good way to go about it?

You keep saying a good player, but you don’t need to be good at ALL you need to sit in a random corner and just hold square over and over? Like there is zero skill involved in doing this??

I never said the word good cause who’s good or bad is a matter of opinion. Look man I didnt come in here to shut you down or argue with you, I just wanted you to hear a different opinion.
You seem like you just wanna argue with me tho.

All I said is I respect being able to stay undetected because it’s not easy to do.

Dont ignore my question though. Like I said, I think a punishment would be too harsh. Which Is why I think a mechanic to prevent this would be better cause I know a lot of ppl have no patience.

So what would be a good mechanic to prevent ft from only hiding? Cause I think something like a super target isolation that reveals them no matter what, just automatically happeing near the end of the match, every match would be unfair for the ft.

We are literally discussing whether or not someone not playing the game, completely ignoring there objective, and forcing you to wait out a timer, is a mechanic that it good for the game or not. I didint ignore the question, how I recommend fixing this is the same way they did it in F13. 10 minutes into the game, Jason entered Rage mode, and it increased the detection range of his tracking perks reduced his cooldowns and allowed him to instantly break through locked doors. Implement a system like this, where after a certain amount of time in the game, the scanner will show the location of ft members regardless of Mudding up. Not fair you say? Well consider it shows you a blip of what direction they are in and that’s it. Let’s not act like the scan gives some sort of pin point accurate location anyways. And it has a cool down as well. Fairly simple solution to ft members trolling you.

Also this mechanic literally just fixes the issue of the last guy being able to sit in one place and hold square and waste your time. This mechanic is not going to make you some OP monster after 10 minutes.

Ok hang on, so you’re saying this would only kick in if theres on guy left? Sorry if you meant that and I missed it.

At that point I’m indifferent. So if they added that when theres only one person left, I wouldn’t care, but I think it should kick in when theres only 5 minutes left.

But ya idk I dont consider it a waste of time. For me its kinda fun trying to hunt for someone that I have no idea where they are. I learn new spots like that if I do find them. This is just my love of sniping I guess.

It would only be any good if it was against 1 guy anyways. Knowing where a full ft is, not exactly super strong they can still easily defend themselves. But yes when you spend 15 min looking for a game, then spend 5 min playing, then 10 min waiting for the game to end. Feels fairly wasteful. I mean especially when actually finding the person is pretty much luck. The “hiding spots are just little random corners and you cover in mud over and over. I don’t wanna play hide and seek as that’s not what this game is. In Friday atleast that’s part of the game. In this, it’s an action game at its core
