I’d move it to the last 2-3minutes just in case they find a way to extend match time but 5 might be a better option in its current situation.
Addressing an actual problem that’s not whining about balance
Something should happen to counter this. Holding the game hostage was the #1 reason I will NEVER play F13 again. It happens waayyyyy too often in that game. DBD did a perfect job implementing a cohesive end game. Rage mode was needed in F13.
I haven’t had someone purposely run out the clock yet. I have had to search for the last player when they still had missions to do and they were not attempting them. I think an emergency extract should be available in this situation.
The FT that decides not to do missions and ONLY hunt the predator by camping is another situation that needs addressing. Maybe if the FT stays in a location for too long gets an army of reinforcements sent to attack them. IDK
When my FT camps in that building. I QUIT!
Bye-Next match.
I will repeat here what I have said in similar threads before.
As long as the FT member was not hiding inside terrain or somewhere they should not be, good on them. It is the Predator’s job to hunt the FT down. I personally would prefer the challenge to find that last FT member over going back and sitting in the queue.
This doesn’t make any sense though. “Hunting them down” is literally not part of the gameplay loop. There are no tracking abilities. You can either A see sounds bubbles or B find them with the scanner. If someone just sits in a random bush and muds up Over and over there is no challenge involved it’s just blind luck because there is 0 method of finding them effectively
There also trolls that just want to knife the predator even though they will clearly lose had one person doing that to me, I was having a bit of fun in the end I was running away from him and he chasing me with knife while the rest of the ft are on the other side of the map
I’m still waiting for this infamous hide and seek match so I can see if its possible to get some use out of the audio scanner.
If it doesn’t then the easiest solution to this would be to buff the audio scanner so it functions as a counter to mud, no?
Or cough add more optional vision modes specifically for tracking - with higher energy drain
I think it is part of the loop. For tracking the Predator has foot prints, thermal vision, bio vision (not sure what to call the visible sound bubbles) and of course target isolation.
If someone is mudding up and staying low then yes they could be very hard to find. I think the only clue would be to listen for them to play the audio for “mudding up” at that point or get lucky and catch them on thermal right as they are in between muddings.
You may find them, you may not. But if they do not complete the mission and evac that is counted as a Predator win.
I am sorry, I am not sure I understand. Which item is the audio scanner? Is that a FT item?
The indicator on the left in thermal mode that mostly just picks up AI gibberish.
Oh yeah, that thing seems to light up when any sound is near?
Would be nice if it did something useful I agree.
I still get confused by the small semi-circle directional things that appear in the middle. They are kind of like incoming damage direction indicators, but they seem more generic.
Do you have any idea what those are for? I can probably find a video somewhere if I am not making any sense.
Don’t know if i’ve noticed it.
It seems like the devs don’t want it cluttering the HUD but its too easy to forget the audio thing is even there. Its much more obvious in the movies.

That thing is on the left in game I think. And once I saw it really didn’t seem to do anything other than look cool, I quit playing it any mind.
That is not what I am referring to, I will see if I can find a video or screen shot later.
It’s by definition taking a game hostage which is not healthy for any game. FT has objective Predator has Objective by doing this the FT member is making sure that neither get done. This is not healthy
I am not sure I can 100% agree with the hostage analogy though. Any player can exit the match at any time I thought?
So the solution you have is, just cancel the game, and waste all your time. It’s not an analogy that’s a reportable offense throughout asymmetrical games. Holding games hostage is a term that’s been around and means exactly what I’m talking about here
If in your opinion leaving the game is wasting your time and staying the in the game is wasting your time, I am not sure how to answer that.
You would prefer the FT come out and light a flare and scream for death? Actually Dutch did that, and I admit that would be bad ass!
My guess is the FT did not want to quit and lose Veritanium or XP, you did not want to quit and lose Veritanium or XP, so you both stubbornly stuck around.
Fun fact: I think that match time length affects rewards, so in that respect staying in game was less of a waste of time than either of you leaving early.
I get that you are frustrated, but I hope that helps.
You are trying to make my argument sound like some logical fallacy but you are bad at it. Let me clear this up. Taking games hostage, forcing both sides to wait out the clock and not play the game, IS BANNABLE IN ALL GAMES WHO HAVE A BAN SYSTEM. Yes, this is an issue, there needs to be a way to find someone besides blind luck when they choose to take a game hostage or they should get a ban penalty. You aren’t allowed to do this in other games, this should be no exception. My solution is you should just keep playing the game. I’ve loaded into games, ALONE and completed the mission so it’s 100% possible. Also in a 4v1 game , the balance shifts as you lose teammates. So yes I’m aware 1v1 against the predator is not favorable, but that’s part of the game. If you lose 3 people then it is now stacked against you. That’s the nature of the game
