I am sorry I still cannot agree. The match was not being held hostage nor was game play hindered in my opinion.
The game play (from the Predator side) is literally: Find the FT and kill them.
Sorry you felt you were being trolled or held hostage, but I do not agree that this means the FT automatically did anything punishable.
I have not played much FPS since the late 90s. I lost interest after the Quake II days. I still mainly play multi player games though. This is my first asymmetrical PvP (PvPPPP?) game though, so maybe there is something I am missing.

Ok stopped reading after “in my opinion” this is not your opinion. By definition, this is what holding a game hostage is. That’s what the act of holding a game hostage is. No one cares if you disagree. That’s like if you beat me in COD and I say, well I don’t see that as a loss for me. Uh no one cares that’s literally what it is

That is fine, it seems to me that you disagree that this match you had was not being held hostage.
As you so eloquently tried to put it, no one cares if you disagree.
I wouldn’t mind hiding/sneaking being encouraged as a playstyle ngl. Silencers exist for a reason. Still a win for the pred if they take too long. I’d rather have that than a 3 minute arena shooter match. Shakes things up from the usual “lets group up and sit up eachothers asses.”
Teams that split and still get the objective done are more interesting IMO. Pred has to pick targets and risk losing sight of people which is probably how it should be.

Is any one here familiar with what holding games hostage means? It’s not about losing sight or them splitting up. It’s if you just use mechanics like, in this game just sitting and mudding up, to Halt the game and stop either side from completing there objective. So no one is playing the game, you just wait for the clock to run out
You still complete your objective if they don’t do theirs. If you’re that bored and don’t want to look for them in their prophunt match go kill AI
Yo man, you should really ease up on ppl just cause they don’t agree. As you can see I’m not the only one who feels the match isnt being held hostage. Most of us are here to try to come up with compromise on things we dont agree on to give some good, over all feed back.
You keep shutting everyone down who doesn’t agree. But you fail to see that it’s your opinion if a game is being held hostage or not.
But I get it. You’re impatient. If someone stays out of your reach you get frustrated and flip out. I know cause there are plenty of ppl like that. I typically take advantage of that to get them so frustrated that they cant think straight and just start making mistakes and play sloppy. And it’s not to troll, its simple strategy. While the way I do it is a different story all together, my point of ppl not having patience still stands.

The last minute, sure. The last 5 mins? That’s a third of the match, sometimes half!!! And I don’t agree with being able to see is no matter what. You’re referring to one incident where the guy was either waiting for you to find him or straight being a dick, and so you want the game changed because of that one match?? I just 4hink that’s extreme. There has to be a better alternative to the “remove all mud and perk abilities”, otherwise that’s just a free pass for the Predator player and will be totally abused.

Yes you are correct the predator would definitely abuse this. If he knew where the players were at the climax of the game. Oh that’s right games are rarely 10 minutes anyways so this would only come into play when someone is attempting to hold the game hostage more often then not, but what if everyone is still alive? That’s not fair he can just find them? Cause we all know if he finds the whole FT he’ll insta kill them. Oh wait. The FT definitely can defend themselves just fine. This mechanic will not cause the predator to be some OP nightmare it literally helps him find the location of FT members late game.

Because this is not subjective. You can be banned for offenses in some games, in order to be banned you must objectively be doing something wrong. This is a term with a definition. THIS IS THE DEFINITION. If you hide somewhere with intent of no one completing any objectives within the game and making everyone wait the clock out, that is BY DEFINITION holding the game hostage. Forgive me if I don’t wanna argue with someone who wants to put there two cents in on something that they have 0 idea of the concept itself. If you are just sitting there, applying mud, waiting for the game to end. You are in fact holding the game hostage . If you’d like to discuss a solution, or argue that holding games hostage is ok. Look man. Already said that super target isolation, at 5 minutes, with only 1 ft left seems fair, for people like you who are impatient and get frustrated when they cant reach their target.
If this was so concrete it would be in Every game. I been playing all different genre of games, multiplayer and single player and never heard of this term before. For years mind you. But I already know what kinda ppl would bitch and moan about this.
The only thing I’m trying to tell you, is that instead of getting so defensive and trying to shut ppl down cause they dont agree with your opinion, itd be more helpful to get as many different ideas as we can from different sides. That’s all.

Look I know what I’m talking about, so saying I have no idea just ain’t true. I want this game to succeed. Which is why even when ppl keep trying to put their opinion above others, and shut ppl down, I still try to work through it and find a compromise.
But theres no point if everyone is just gonna shut everyone down. Then you just create the same problem that dead eye buddha did.
