Well idk about getting offended, but take it from an experienced ft player. Now, we have to be more tactical against top preds because of the new specializations. The damage output on some builds it’s insane.

I personally like it because it’s more challenging, but any more on either side would take us back to a shitty one-sided game.

well thats good to hear that you FTs are getting a challange. thats all we want :)
We just want a fun game win or lose, and if its getting there then thats good.

As much as it is like balanced… it still can be one sided depending on what build people are running really… i proposed in my early days to make maps bigger and objectives to be done with more stealth… fireteam will have stealth mechanic if they are mudded and hide in bushes they aren’t seen and can stealth kill the AI from bushes or if they get behind them…

The target isolation would also need to be changed to the point where it does not locate them precisely on point but it would locate their latest tracks fresh tracks… and then you as pred have to follow these tracks…

so you rekon its about right now? top preds are giving you a good run?

It is man, I had to change my main builds to more tactical and not rely on damage anymore. I think it’s more fun this way.

My ideas would make it more enjoyable for you then lol… as it all is based on stealth play as it should be seen from movies n shit…

lets give it time and see. i mean i still have only had 1 or 2 games that i consider worthy oponents and they were very close down to the chopper fight so, ima just go with it for a bit.

Think that the main issue here are how fast objectives are to be done in the game… and how small the map is n stuff…

If the objectives were bigger and it was harder to track as pred… game would be way way less harder to balance

I mean, they have always given us a hard time, but now it’s like if we even make a mistake it’s gg fireteam.

yeah but theyre not all short, some are quite a slog and some are long in 1 area giving tons of setup time for pred and many waves of AI…

I think the long and short missions keep you on your toes, another variable you cant plan for. Its good.

Seems bad when its a great team, combined with a short mission . but shit happenes cant win everything no matter how 1337 you are

To be honest, I really like your ideas. The timer needs to be longer. We had a fight earlier with perhaps the best pred in the game, but time ran out. We were still trying to complete the mission while fighting the pred and AI so who knows how that would’ve ended.

yeah i wouldnt complain at 20min timer instead of 15

they also do have optional objectives right? so i mean , giving those a big XP bonus maybe the incentive there

Yea but for those of us who have millions of veritanium and 150 level, it doesn’t make a difference.

Maybe if you get a secret item for completing the optional people would do it more often.

Actually… the timer from start needs to be gone… but then activate like after 20-30 min passed… and it will like show that there is like 10 min left or 5 depending on situation…

Also some person suggested that if the last fireteam are camping, it would create heat that will show up on target isolation cause they spent too much time on some spot on the map and thats how the pred can find them if they are trolling… instead of timer just ending i guess lol.

Human brain works in phenomenal ways where the subconscious stays unfiltered from what you are thinking and it causes your future mood to change… so if the game starts without a timer, both parties would feel more relaxed than it being timed lol…

And same if the objectives were not shown on the map and on the list… rather you get this briefing from the heli, and you would actually have to follow the clues around the map until u can complete ur final mission lol… and u can stumble upon an optional mission which unlocks the main mission location but its also way risky and it gives pred opportunity to find you easily.

So my idea was before to have optional mission that pays well in both XP, Verit

But if you mess something up with the puzzle and hacking ur donzo the alarm starts and the support comes in… same if u get detected be guards and u must eradicate them before they see you… if they do its much more extreme mission than main mission cause it unlocks main mission clues automatically

The timer should only be to call the chopper, and make it shorter, like 10 minutes. Once the timer reaches zero, you can no longer exfil or call reinforcements. You either kill the pred or it kills you. As long as that takes.

But as long as the objectives take at least 15 min to complete… and not 3-5 min max…

to prevent trolling if they camp in the same location pred can scan them through their mud cause they created a lot of heat in that area

what? That’s pretty much why I said the thing about the timer. if missions can be completed in 3-5 minutes, there’s no need for a 15 min timer. If you can’t complete the mission because the pred is too good to allow you to do it, then you aren’t going to finish the mission anyways. But is unfair for a pred to just win by the timer with just one kill. Finish the job.

If missions are 15 min long (please god no) nobody would exfil. Timer would always run out

i think i disagree with that, timout winning is still a win. if the pred is good enough to kill you all but not good enough to do it fast enough then fireteam wins if they do the mission and lose if timer goes, not take as long as they want with no timer…

And a timer is to stop hiding under map mudded all the time etc.

All thats needed is a 5min extension to the timer IMO. that would give each side more time to fight if they wish. not ever match has to be won or lost in fighting.
